SUICIDE SILENCE - "The Cleansing" release date and on tour with Parkway Drive
and Bury Your Dead
SUICIDE SILENCE's amazing album "The Cleansing" will finally hit the UK on 31st
March 2008 (Mainland Europe release date February 18th) Upon the US release of
the album SUICIDE SILENCE made a huge statement to the metal world by entering
the US Billboard Top 200 chart at #94, which marks the highest debut ever for a
new Century Media artist.
SUICIDE SILENCE adheres to no preconceived notions and refuses to be pigeonholed
into any specific genre. Their music clearly represents their many influences,
incorporating a savage mix of death metal, grindcore, black metal, hardcore and
doom elements into each track. The songs are dynamic and crushing, shifting
effortlessly from insane grind chaos into surgically precise, disorienting time
signatures topped off with snail-paced grooves and destructive breakdowns. Check

In spring 2007 they entered the studio with John Travis (Kid
Rock, Static-X) to record their debut full-length while the renowned Tue Madsen
(Dark Tranquillity, The Haunted) handled mixing duties. Its outstanding artwork
was done by the legendary Dave McKean (Sandman comics, classic covers for
Machine Head, My Dying Bride, Testament, Fear Factory).
The devastating quintet from Riverside, California separated themselves from the
underground through an undying work ethic and undeniable live performance. Not
only did the band tour North America relentlessly with the likes of Unearth and
Darkest Hour, but also went headlining for Despised Icon, Winds of Plague and
Walls Of Jericho as well as simply ruling the UK on their first visit in 2006.
Now, it will be time for their first tour all over Europe with Parkway Drive and
Bury Your Dead.

ONE MAN ARMY - Pekka leaving the fold
ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET, the Swedish band featuring former THE CROWN
vocalist Johan Lindstrand, has parted ways with rhythm guitarist Pekka Kiviaho.
Commented the group in a statement: "Pekka has been in this band for three years
now and he has been a true friend and a reliable member of the ARMY, mark my
words. This decision is something that we have suspected for a while, though,
based on lack of motivation and commitment. We had a discussion about this topic
last week and just a few days ago Pekka came to realise that he couldn't commit
to all the terms that is basically all about being in this band 110%. We can't
have it any other way. That's why this band has come this far. Because people
push it forward. So don't worry, fellow ARMY fans. We will not be weakened by
this setback. I would rather say that we will be stronger. I see positive on
getting new fresh blood into this circle to get the machine going on full speed
again.
"The remaining four of us are extremely motivated into making a new killer
album, and luckily the main songwriters are still in the band. We are currently
working our asses off with writing new material and we've already got a title
for the next release and the cover art is on its way. It's a Swedish guy doing
the cover art this time so you can say that there's a lot of changes for this
third album. Changes that mean a new fresh start for the ARMY, new grounds to
break and a new positive thinking towards the future."
Pekka Kiviaho said in a statement: "This is it. My time as an UNDEAD being is
over for now. There is no bad blood between us, just a new chapter both for me
and ONE MAN ARMY. My future plans in music will carry on with an album recording
with FRACTION OF CHAOS during February 2008.
" A big hail goes out to the guys! Thanks for all the great stuff we have
experienced together. Both on and off stage! I would also like to send a hail to
all the great ARMY fans out there, Hein, Ted, Simon and all the other crazy fu*kers
around the globe! One UNDEAD dude signing out."

President Evil - January 28th "Hell in A Box"
Bremen bunch President Evil have their new album released on the 28th of

Jon Oliva's Pain - March Release Date Confirmed.
The title and release date of the new album from ex-Savatage vocalist Jon Oliva
is now confirmed as March 24th. Entitled "Global Warning" it looks set to be a
tremendous moment once again for all those that have enjoyed both acoustic,
intimate and arena encounters with Jon and the boys this year and a release that
will not only build on the exceptional success of "Maniacal Renderings" but even
surpass it.
Neverland; Debut Album Released; March 3rd
In 2006, Greek female singer Iris Mavraki and Turkish prog/power metal act
Dreamtone formed the band Neverland. Their first album "Reversing Time" features
great guests from the world of metal; Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), Tom Englund
(Evergrey), Mike Baker (Shadow Gallery) and Gary Wehrkamp (Shadow Gallery), so
look out for it in March.
Magnus Rosen Not Hanging Around After Hammerfall
The new band based around the former Hammerfall bass player Magnus Rosen,
X-World/5 will release their debut album "New Universal Order" through us on
March 3rd. Besides Magnus, the band features the exciting talents of Pagans Mind
vocalist Nils K Rue, guitar players Andy La Roque (King Diamond) and Reeves
Gabrels, as well as drummer Big Swede. It's going to be, well…. BIG!!
Illdisposed Issue New Update
"All right folks, it's time to reveal guitarist Martin Thim's replacement. Our
new guitarist is a long-time friend from Copenhagen, who's always showing up at
our shows to party with us. Ladies and gentlemen: Mr. Franz Hellboss. The first
time you'll see Franz is in the New Year in Hamburg at the Listening Party for
the new record."
Illdisposed is currently mixing this new album at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg,
Sweden with Fredrik Nordström for a March 31st, 2008 release.
