AUTUMN - Update from Nienke
Dear all,
A little personal update. The past few weeks I've been working on my recovery,
trying to get back on my feet. I am happy to say that the effort is starting to
pay off, I'm gradually feeling better and better. The show at the Goudvishal
next weekend (4th of November) is yet still a bit too early at this stage, so
unfortunately I won't be able to make it, for which I'm very sorry.... to say
the least.
But on a more positive note: if things keep progressing like this, I hope to
make it to the next show on the 17th (Lelystad). So, I will keep you guys posted
and see you real soon!
Last but not least: thank you for all your kind messages! It's comforting to
know that so many people care!!!

HATCHET sign with Metal Blade Records
Metal Blade Records has just inked a deal with Bay Area thrashers HATCHET!
HATCHET is an onslaught of 5 thrash metal fanatics from the San Francisco Bay
Area; a starting point for infamous thrash bands like METALLICA, EXODUS,
TESTAMENT, and VIO-LENCE just to name a few. Formed by Julz on guitar and Slave
behind the drum kit in January 2005, HATCHET was started as the two were fed up
with the stale metal scene in their hometown. Their desire to create music
filled with substance and driving aggression would be enough to help revive a
genre that had slowly began to fade away over the years in their hometown.
HATCHET will be playing various one off dates until they release their new album

DECAPITATED - UPDATE ON BAND MEMBERS SITUATION
The following is a statement from a member of Covan's family, via Martin, former
bass player of Decapitated, with regards to the band members situation following
the bus crash in Russia earlier this week:
"Covan and Vitek are still at the hospital in Novozybkov, Russia, where they
were taken to following the accident. Despite the rumors, they are not in
Moscow.
Their families are currently trying to decide the best possible city and
hospital to take them to next for additional medical attention.
Covan is showing some progress, but unfortunately, there has been no signs of
improvement in Vitek's condition. The families of Covan and Vitek appreciate
everyone's concern on the matter, but please do not spread any more unconfirmed
rumours or information on the Internet. More details will soon be released."
SEVERE TORTURE SPEAK OUT ABOUT RECENT MEXICAN TOUR
After recently delivering their brutal Death Metal sound to Mexico, Severe
Torture have given an exclusive insight into the life of a band on tour. Aptly
describing the visit as 'Vengeance Over Mexico', with their latest album Sworn
Vengeance due for release this month, Seth reveals all about Mexico, Maffia and
bootleg Merch. Read what he has to say here:
"On October 1st we arrived in Mexico City, where we met with our Mexican
friends: Dave, Javier, Micky and Carlos. Of course the first night we went for
some beers and tacos to relax after a long flight.
The next day, travelling to Monterrey, just to sleep and on Wednesday we had our
first gig in Laredo. Many fanatic maniacs showed up and the show was a blast.
Before and after the show we had to drink many beers with our fans and that gave
us a warm welcome.
Next day, October 4th, we went to Tampico to play at the Club Golden Billar. It
was a hot, but brutal show!!! After the show we wanted to drive to our Hotel,
but there was a Mercedes with black windows blocking the street. It didn't look
ok so we turned around and took another street. Another car with black windows
pulled up in front of us and blocked the street again. We were now sure this was
not good, especially when we saw guys coming out, holding guns...
We got the hell out of there, went the opposite direction, drove
around the city and got to our hotel safe. Next day we saw a newspaper, it said
that later that night, the army went there and arrested 18 drug maffia-related
members, who were loading up a truck of cocaine in the street they were
blocking. We were glad we weren't there, that's for sure! We played in Monterrey
and the day after we did an open air show in San Luis Potosi. The crowd was for
sure one of the most brutal ones we ever played for!!! We spent a lot of time
hanging out with them and had a great time.
After another great gig in Queretaro we had 3 days off, so we
went to Teotihuacan to climb the Pyramid of the Sun and the Moon. It was
something no one of us ever saw. Thanx to Dave and his friend Gabriella for
taking us there.
Our hotel was in Mexico City so we spent our remaining two days there.
On Oct. 11th we played in the Area Chica in Toluca. And again the people showed
that they have a great passion for metal. The two last shows were Guadalajara
and last but not least Mexico City in the Infernal Bar. Guadalajara was hot. We
went to a market first with just CD's, t-shirts, bags etc. All of a sudden we
hear a track of our new album coming from somewhere. We checked it out and
that's when we saw the first bootleg version of "Sworn Vengeance". Guadalajara
was so hot that my whopper came out again. Lucky that was after the show, sorry
to the club by the way...
Finally, Mexico City. Probably the best show of the tour. When we arrived at the
club we saw a big merchandise booth, with lots of different bootleg Severe
Torture shirts! Awesome to see such support! We even got a Sworn Vengeance
longsleeve now, before the album's out! But who cares, these people are 100%
metal!!! Thanx for the support! There were a lot of people we met in the days
before that show, so a lot of partying! We picked some good tracks out of the
death metal jukebox and had our last Mexican beers with our friends.
We like to thank Dave, Javier, Micky and Carlos for taking good care of us! We
had a blast!!! And also many thanx to our Mexican fans, you were great!!!

EVILE GUITARIST COMMENTS ON RECENT UK TOUR WITH SANCTITY
Fresh from taking the UK by storm on a recent rip-roaring tour with US metallers
Sanctity and Romeo Must Die, Evile guitarist Ol Drake has spoken out about how
the fast-rising Huddersfield thrashers found the tour:
"It's been awesome touring with two great bands who just happened to be awesome
people too. In Sanctity's case we were un-sure what to expect, as our past
experiences with American bands hasn't been too good, but they're such awesome
guys. This tour's just been 100% fun and pleasure."
The brutality of the thrashers coming out to see them was definitely in full
force, as Ol recounts an instance at a show in Scotland. He explains:
"Some guy got knocked out and taken to Hospital in Glasgow. He's ok now though.
BRUTAL. you can't keep a Thrasher down.
It's just been an all around blast. Cheers to all who came out and took the time
to watch Evile, and Cheers to our new mates Sanctity and RMD. Thrash you all
again soon."

BRAINSTORM to re-schedule tour
Dear friends and fans,
As EVERGREY will not have their new album released in time, they can not take
part in the planned tour. Due to this fact, we need to re-schedule the dates for
the tour that will now happen without EVERGREY. We are already discussing some
very interesting special guests but as we are sure you understand, we need some
days to come up with new dates and details.

Hello,
Unfortunately we must infom you that EVERGREY not is able to do the planned tour
with BRAINSTORM in March 2008. This is due to the fact that our next album not
will be ready in time to be released before the tour. We feel it's not fair to
the fans or to the promoters or to BRAINSTORM to do a tour without the new album
out. If the circumstances aren't the best we shouldn't do a major tour like
this. We are sorry for any problems this may cause but we will be back soon.

BOLT THROWER to play Wacken?
As most of you probably know, BOLT THROWER don't like to play festivals, but as
a lot of you want to see us playing festivals, we try and play at least one
festival a year. After receiving numerous offers, we now have to choose which
festival to play next Summer, and would like you to help us decide. As BT are
not financially driven, the fee is pretty irrelevant,
as is whether we play to 1000 people or 100,000. Our main requirement would be
to have our usual merchandise / meet and greet booth, with no price
restrictions.
Wacken Open Air festival have asked us again to play next Summer, and the date
would fit in with the gap in our planned recording and mixing schedule for next
year. A lot of you have asked us to play Wacken over the years, and a lot of you
have advised us not to play it, for various reasons.
So now, we would like you to help us decide by taking part in the following

S.S.S TRACK USED IN NEW VIDEO FOR PRO-SKATER GEOFF ROWLEY
The track 'Son Of Beast' taken from the Merseyside crossover-thrashers' latest
release 'Short Sharp Shock' now features in a Geoff Rowley skate advert for
Independent trucks. Speaking about the advert, S.S.S frontman Foxy has stated:
"Geoff is a major force to be reckoned with as a sk8er. Independent Trucks are
the backbone of skateboarding, and SSS is unstoppable. SSS is stoked to be a
part of Geoff's ad - RIDE THE BEST AND FU*K THE REST".
With S.S.S being deeply rooted in the Liverpool skateboarding scene, Foxy
reveals that the band have a long-standing friendship with the skater. He
explains that they used to "travel to new spots all over the country and skate

BONDED BY BLOOD - REPORT FROM ARIZONA'S METALSTOCK FESTIVAL
Thrash dynamos, BONDED BY BLOOD spent last weekend playing several shows in
Arizona, including a headlining spot at the Metalstock Festival. It was an
all-day affair featuring over 30 of finest metal bands that Arizona has to
offer. BONDED BY BLOOD vocalist, Aladdin felt the love from the crowd at
Metalstock and now dishes some love back at them and the crowd they played for,
the previous evening in Prescott:
"Arizona was amazing. Prescott was fun...a bunch of old school thrash fans made
it fun. Phoenix's Metalstock was pure insanity! An all day festival of 30
bands...All of what Arizona has to offer plus BONDED BY BLOOD. People were
astonished
after hearing the old school vibes that we provided. All in all, Arizona was
one of the most kick ass states we have played!"

MUNICIPAL WASTE SET TO TOUR EUROPE IN FEBRUARY 2008
After a storming succession of dates across the globe this year, Virginian
thrashers Municipal Waste have announced a string of European tour dates for
February next year.
Following the release of 'The Art Of Partying' in June, Municipal Waste have
taken their own brand of party-thrash to a whole new level, giving high-energy
live performances and generating raucous reactions from crowds across the world.
From stage-diving killer sharks, boogie-boarding thrash bodies and the

"Great news we have for you these days! While being busy finishing up the
production of Slania and working on our Evocation-concept we still found the
time to travel to Donzdorf in Germany for a few beers & a talk with the people

Not only did they make us drunk as hell, but they also impressed us with a great
artist roster, 20 Years of incredible work (happy birthday Nuclear Blast!) and
their professional but still very "metal" staff. So we did what had to be done -
we came, we saw and we signed. We are looking forward to many years of great

2007 has been an amazing year for Turisas with the release of their epic new
album 'The Varangian Way', playing the main stage at the Download Festival,
Metal Hammer's 'Get In The Ring' & Kerrang Magazine's 'Day Of Rock' shows in
