SCAR SYMMETRY - Working update!

Melodic Deathers SCAR SYMMETRY have posted the following update on their official homepage www.scarsymmetry.com

"Greetings people! At the moment we're in the midst of writing material for our 3rd album, set to be recorded at the end of the summer. So far we have like 10 songs in the works and there are more set to be written in the near future. Hopefully we'll have around 15-20 songs to choose from, in time for the recording.

As goes for coming live-appearances, we're very much looking forward in participating in this year's edition of Progpower UK, set to take place outside of London, at the end of March. Also, like we've told you before in an earlier post, there is a new tour in the works, which we hope will be 100% confirmed shortly, so that we can share some further info with you guys. In the meantime, lets keep our fingers crossed and be sure to check this website at regular intervals!"

KATAKLYSM - Message for their fans

Northern Hyperblasters KATAKLYSM have just returned from their European tour and have some important things to tell their fans! "KATAKLYSM has just returned to US soil after completing the band’s most successful headliner tour in Europe!!! Drawing more people and selling venues across Europe than never before.

The band wishes to thank QUO VADIS, FEAR MY THOUGHTS and NEAERA for being cool dudes and all for all the good times, cheers!!!" Sadly, the band had to postpone their scheduled Australian tour and their "Road to Devastation II" tour which also included a few dates with UNLEASHED and was scheduled for April/ Mai.

Maurizio Lacono explains: "I know that a lot of our fans were looking forward to seeing us in Australia, in the UK, Scandinavia and all the places we haven’t hit for this record yet, but believe me that none are more disappointed than us!.....But they WILL be rescheduled and we are thinking of September or during the fall. The reason behind the postponed dates: The devil himself called and made us an offer we couldn’t refuse!.."

GOTTHARD - Begins with recording

Swiss hard rockers GOTTHARD entered the studio late last year with producers Leo Leoni and Ronald Prent (who worked with the band on their last effort, "Lipservice") to begin recording their new album, entitled "Domino Effect", which will be released in early summer 2007!

"Made in Switzerland" — which beat the latest releases from TOOL and PEARL JAM — is a CD/DVD set that contains 17 songs that were recorded during a concert at the Hallenstadion in Zürich in December 2005. In addition to the complete concert, the DVD includes "making-of" footage and many new photos.

Metal Blade signs AUTUMN!

Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the signing of rising Gothic Metal band AUTUMN from the Netherlands! AUTUMN is a special band in many ways - unlike all their competitors in the overcrowded scene with female fronted metal bands, AUTUMN deliver something original, are everything but cliché and add some extra Groove to their songs.

Comments guitar player Jens van der Valk: 'We're delighted to have the opportunity to work with Metal Blade in securing a strong position at the front lines of female fronted gothic metal/rock, both for Autumn and Metal Blade. After having worked with major labels Sony and Universal for our previous CD's, we're convinced the right move for us is to team up with a record label that has its feet firmly planted in the heavier scene, while retaining power and flexibility in an ever changing musical environment.

We couldn't have wished for a better partner and we're confident that, with Metal Blade's renowned commitment and power to strike, we'll go far with this relationship! On a personal note: it sort of feels like coming home, since I've been affiliated with Metal Blade in the past, during my years in God Dethroned. That's been an experience that has remained my benchmark for a healthy business relationship and I can't wait to pick up where we left off and get this show on the road!'

AUTUMN are done recording their third album 'My New Time'. Right now the album is in the mixing process. Produced by Arno Krabman at Graveland studio and mixed by Jochem Jacobs at Split Second Sound Studio it’s obvious the sound of the album will be powerful, transparent and heavy!

'We've laid down 11 tracks at Graveland Studio with producer Arno Krabman behind the dials. These are some of the most diverse, groovy and powerful Autumn songs to date. Needless to say, we're thrilled with the results so far! The new line-up has outdone itself and has seen the Autumn collective improve in all possible areas. This, combined with Arno's attention to detail and Jochem's mixing skills should result in an album that'll raise some eyebrows!'

AUTUMN is:
Nienke de Jong - vocals
Jerome Vrielink - bass
Jan Munnik - keyboards
Jan Grijpstra - drums
Mats van der Valk - guitar & backing vocals
Jens van der Valk - guitar & backing vocals

SIX FEET UNDER - New album! Tracklist! Free MP3!

A brand new SIX FEET UNDER track, entitled "Doomsday", is available for download online.  The song comes off the group's new album, "Commandment", due on April 20 via Metal Blade Records Europe. The track listing is as follows:

01. Doomsday
02. Thou Shall Kill
03. Zombie Executioner
04. The Edge Of The Hatchet
05. Bled To Death
06. Resurrection Of The Rotten
07. As The Blade Turns
08. The Evil Eye
09. In A Vacant Grave
10. Ghosts Of The Undead

In a recent interview with Mark Carras of RockMyMonkey.com, SIX FEET UNDER bassist Terry Butler stated about the upcoming CD, "I would say, if I had to describe the new style, it would be 'Maximum Violence' meets 'Haunted'. . . I'm really psyched about it. I really liked it. We had a good writing experience. We wrote all the music in the studio and it just flowed through. It's pretty upbeat the whole time, but there's some really catchy, groovy riffs.

I think SFU fans are going to like it a lot, especially some of the older, the people who've been around for a long time listening to us, it will satisfy them. The last couple records we've kind of, I don't want to say gotten off our style, but we've always tried to be a little bit different. We didn't want to always just put ten records that sounded like 'Haunted'. So we just kind of, I don't want to say experimented, but we just kind of messed around a little bit, certain styles, but I think this is kind of back to what our fans would expect."

High Impact Recordings/Metal Blade Records signs EVERGREEN TERRACE!

High Impact Recordings and Metal Blade Records are proud to announce the signing of Jacksonville’s own, EVERGREEN TERRACE.

Since 1999, EVERGREEN TERRACE has created their own brand of fast, powerful, heavy, and yet melodic hardcore. The band’s disregard for gimmicks and trends has allowed them to make music with true energy and passion. EVERGREEN TERRACE’s diverse sound has allowed them to share the stage with bands like NORMA JEAN, UNEARTH, EVERY TIME I DIE, HATEBREED, BANE, and GWAR.

High Impact Recordings founder Tim Lambesis comments, "EVERGREEN TERRACE is a band that will soon get the recognition they've deserved for quite some time.

They are a band that started before their genre blew up, and all the while they've maintained a distinct identity by combining the energy of punk and the syncopation of metal with a melody that is their own. In a genre that sometime goes over the top trying to be "heavy", EVERGREEN TERRACE reminds us that energy and good song-writing should still be the bottom line."

EVERGREEN TERRACE enthusiastically replies, "Now we can be a real band, thanks Metal Blade!!!"

"Metal Blade...Fu*k Yeah." - Josh of EVERGREEN TERRACE

"Very excited to work with such a hard working label that believes in what we are trying to accomplish as a band. It feels amazing to be a part of a roster with such a huge history in the underground and mainstream metal and hardcore scene." - Kyle of EVERGREEN TERRACE

EVERGREEN TERRACE will begin recording the follow-up to 2005’s "Sincerity Is An Easy Disguise In This Business", in February 2007 at Vision Sound in Florida.

EVERGREEN TERRACE is:
Andrew Carey - Vocals
Craig Chaney - Guitar/Vocals
Joshua James - Guitar
Jason Southwell - Bass
Kyle Mims - Drums

DARK TRANQUILLITY - Reveal the science of 'Fiction'; new song online!

Swedish melodic death metal pioneers DARK TRANQUILLITY triumphantly return with 'Fiction' in April 2007, a scorching effort that will undoubtedly add an exhilarating new chapter to the genre’s storied history. The album was mixed by the acclaimed Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted) and encompasses all of the elements on which the band built their career: thought-provoking lyrics, shredding guitar work, captivating melodies and sheer brutality. This offering is perhaps best compared to a modern-day version of the group’s revered classics 'The Gallery' and 'The Mind’s I', only with more intensity behind it. The blueprint of melodic death metal is now at your fingertips.

Niklas Sundin (guitars) further describes his thoughts on the new album: 'Tue Madsen did a fantastic job with the sound, and the result is diverse and exciting enough to satisfy even the most critical of listeners. The 10 songs are extremely varied and showcase all facets of the D.T. experience while breaking new ground as well as reviving some elements that haven't been featured in D.T. songs since the early years. At the moment, we're putting the finishing touches to the packaging as well as preparing for the recording of the 'Focus shift' and 'Misery's Crown' promo videos. Directing is once again Roger Johansson, who worked with us on the videos for Character'.

DARK TRANQUILLITY holds the esteemed distinction as being one of the bands responsible for founding an entirely new genre of death metal in the early '90s, which came to be known as "The Gothenburg Sound." Their previous album, 'Character', was hailed by critics and fans alike as the group's most savage and dynamic offering yet. They have solidified their fanbase through numerous tours alongside the likes of such genre titans as Killswitch Engage, Kreator, In Flames, Opeth and Soilwork, among others.

In late March 2007, DARK TRANQUILLITY kick off the touring cycle for 'Fiction' with a massive co-headlining U.S. run with The Haunted and Into Eternity followed by European summer festivals and a full length tour in autumn, revitalizing the genre they helped to create and further cementing their status as one of the scene’s most influential metal bands.

Here’s the final tracklist:

DARK TRANQUILLITY - Fiction

1. Nothing To No One
2. The Lesser Faith
3. Terminus (Where Death Is Most Alive)
4. Blind At Heart
5. Icipher
6. Inside The Particle Storm
7. Empty Me
8. Misery´s Crown
9. Focus Shift
10. The Mundane And The Magic

The ltd. album version will include a bonus DVD with live songs, behind the scene footage, last album’s 'The New Build' promo video and the brand-new 'Focus Shift' clip.

SETH was one of the vocalists that stood in for GLEN BENTON

''Friday January 5th I went to Eindhoven to meet again with my Polish friends from Massive Music, who were touring with Deicide, Visceral Bleeding and Psycroptic, since we had so much fun with them on the Vader tour. Once there, all serious faces...Glen is not here and there is a chance the tour gets cancelled. For everyone that doesn't know what that means, it's a disaster for all the bands, labels clubs and also fans. Deicide did absolutely not want to cancel this tour, they wanted to play and replace Glen.

Brovar (tour manager) let me take a look at the set list and asked me how many of the songs I knew, turned out to be all 17 of them, because Deicide happens to be my favourite band since 1991. With 4 hours left before show time I listened to the songs one more time on a Discman and that was it. We did 4 shows, 3 were sold out and one of them almost. In Manchester on the fifth day, front man Garbaty from the Polish death metalband Dissented joined them to play bass and handle the vocals for the rest of the tour.

It was an amazing experience to sing for Deicide and I had a killer time hanging out with Steve, Ralph and Jack. Yesterday they played their last show of the tour and no one thought the tour would ever have made it that far.

If that wasn't enough bad luck...Psycroptic had to cancel the last 4 shows of the tour, their guitar player (Joe Haley) got committed to a hospital in Germany. Because they're flying back to Australia from Amsterdam they are staying with me now until tomorrow. Tonight we can pick up Joe, he's already feeling much better.

With Severe Torture we almost finished writing our 4th full length album. We couldn't wait writing new stuff, once we finished the tour with Vader and God Dethroned. So everyone can expect a new Severe Torture record sometime this year. In March we will go to The U.K. again for about 7 or 8 shows, they will soon be announced on our website: www.severetorture.com

See you all soon on the road!!!''

Seth, Severe Torture

Akercocke in the studio

Akercocke's as yet untitled album is currently being recorded by the band at their own Goat of Mendes Studios in West London. Jason states:
'The studio has recently undergone a refit following the recording of the previous album Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That go Undone and is now a fully digital facility.

It's been interesting to have to work with the new equipment on this new album. Ideally I would have liked to have completed some demo work at GoM first to familiarise myself with the new digital mixing console, but this wasn't possible so it's been a steep learning curve whilst doing the pre-production for the album.

The drums are 80% recorded and are sounding very powerful. I am particularly pleased about this as even at this early stage I think the source sounds are even better than on Words. David has played some killer performances with one section of blasting topping out at a genuine,
accurate 280BPM (he's playing to a click track so we know this for sure).
I am reluctant to divulge too much about the new material other than to say 2006 was a difficult year for us and I think this has been subconsciously reflected in the vitriolic sound of some of the songs. I can safely say that this will be our most aggressive work to date. I am pleased about this as it means we are beginning the 10th year of our bands history in the way we intend to continue - making extremely dark, violent and challenging music.

Drum sessions are expected to reach a frightening conclusion by the 29th of January. At that time work on the guitars will begin. I'm really looking forward to recording the guitars this time. We've got some fantastic new amplification from Hughes and Kettner that I reckon will make a significant difference in creating an extraordinarily heavy yet clear sound.'

Akercocke will play 2 'special' intimate shows in March see details below:

Biomechanical album pushed back

Biomechanical’s new album 'Cannibalised' is now due to be released September 2007

Jon k states:

"It was meant to come out April 2007 but touring with Exodus and 3 Inches of Blood have slowed down the writing and the recordings. We wanna make sure this is going to be the best we can do and not short-sell our fans.

There has been a lot of hard work put on the material so far and even thought the writing is nearly done the actual production will have to be done around rehearsals and touring. This is why we agreed with Earache it's best to put back the release for the end of Summer 2007."

Biomechanical report from Exodus tour

"It’s hard to put everything that happened over the past 42 days into a few paragraphs.

All I can say is that we had an awesome time, travelled through sh*t loads of countries in just a few weeks, witnessed a man turn black (and I mean totally black, face, teeth, the lot!) with the help of black markers and various band members (for Christ’s Sake, if on tour never pass out!! Guaranteed you will wake up full of graffiti) and met some amazing people along the way. Hung out with the guys from Lamb of God, In Flames, Kerry King members of Dimmu Borgir and the legendary Venom!!

But most off all we were glad to get off this tour knowing that we have made friends with the legends that are Exodus!! Those guys not only tear the sh*t out of every stage night after night but they also shared all their stuff with us. Their dressing room was our dressing room. Hell, Paul Bostaph even let Matt C use one of his kicks when his kick drum called it a day.

Total respect to the guys , they are absolute fu*king Thrash legends!!
Unfortunately bad luck was all around us but we managed to escape it somehow! Jamie and Chris did escape a car crash in Bradford but the sh*t didn’t really hit the fan until in Sweden when customs officers ripped the fu*king handle off our bus !! With all our equipment and our sh*t locked in. It was a crucial moment ‘cause we had no idea if we were going to make it for the rest of the tour.

The officers fu*ked off and left us staring at a broken handle!! Then we nearly lost the ferry and one of our members had a severe asthma attack. All in 45 minutes.!! Never before have I seen a situation turn so crazy in such a short space of time!

When it all seem lost a dude stopped next to us and he had 60 kilos of (I know what you think but no, it wasn’t) Turkish sweet pie type of thing!! WTF?? It must have been a good sign ’cause the guy offered us shiploads of that thing and then our Tour Manager made a couple of phone calls and it was all sorted. Just like that! We managed to strike a deal with the bus owner so that we could fix the bus in Finland , got on the ferry and carried on with the tour!!

The sh*t didn’t stop there though, a broken cab, fu*ked up head, cracked kick drum skin, broken camera and other little bits and pieces kept happening after that moment. But we did carry on in to the rest of the tour with the necessary help of Jager and beer!! Thanks to Exodus for the tons (and I mean TONS) of beer and to Jagermeister for providing us with the much necessary liquids!!

And after all, what's tour without a few good tour stories?

So what kept us alive was: ham & chee(se), Jager, Beer, Vodka, Petrol, Bo-Selecta, the A-Team, Family Guy, Aliens, Jurassic Park, Revenge of the Sith (for me), Revenge of the Sith (me again), Revenge of the Sith (erm…me), Star Wars Trilogy (Original & Unaltered), Anchorman, Nutella, Cocopops , bus under floor heating, Craig (the man is a legend, drove 18 hours from Germany to Serbia), and the crazy fu*kers who made it all worth while.

Best gig for me was in Belgrade. It was also quite an emotional moment seeing the bombed out buildings and the bullet holes all around. It did put things into perspective.

The reaction there was truly awesome and were greeted with much enthusiasm from every place we have been.

Thanks to all who supported us! It was the first Biomechanical full European tour and a massive thanks goes to our fans for making this an experience we won’t forget! We'll be back soon - on that you can be sure!"

20 Years of EARACHE!

You may/may not be aware but 2007 marks Earache's 20th Anniversary. 2O years of total noise and its still coming...to mark the anniversary we have a number of interesting things coming up:

1. The 'Metal: A Headbanger's Companion' box set in April - 6 CD Set with over 100 tracks for a cheap price
2. The 'Earache: Extreme Metal Racing' PS2 game now released - Earache is the only label with a PS2 game dedicated to it.
3. The Napalm Death 'Scum' dual disc release in March - THE pivotal Earache release and the one that in many ways started the label on the path to notoriety and legendary status
4. Sanctuary are issuing a special compilation 'Grind Your Mind' In recognition of the genre packed with Earache artists.
5. The 'Choosing Death' book - still being reprinted, the definitive story of Earache and how the label invented grindcore and influenced Death Metal.
'Certainly its shocked me' says Dan Tobin, Label Manager 'looking back at the variety of names that we have championed in the past, often taking a chance on a band years before they became fashionable or influential - but a roll call does read like a who's who of extreme and alternative music.

SCAR SYMMETRY - North America tour update

Hailing from Sweden, SCAR SYMMETRY has been invited to join The Haunted and Dark Tranquillity on their co-headlining stint for The Century Family's inaugural "Metal For The Masses" tour. The line-up will also include Canada's Into Eternity. Sponsored by Decibel magazine, Draven, and Lambgoat.com, the tour's moniker is derived from The Century Family's annual Metal For The Masses compilation series, which is now on its fifth volume in the series and available exclusively through Hot Topic.

Checking in from his home in Gävle, SCAR SYMMETRY's lead guitarist Per Nilsson shares his reaction to the band's upcoming maiden tour of the U.S. & Canada and also makes a few predictions: "So, finally, we get our first chance to tour North America. We've been awaiting this opportunity for some time now, and when the invitation came for us to join this tour package, we had no problem saying 'HELL YEAH!!!' The Haunted, Dark Tranquillity, Into Eternity and SCAR SYMMETRY - this must be every metalhead's dream come true!

A few things that are very likely to happen on this tour are: A) Kenneth [Seil, bassist] is going to drink too much; B) Jonas [Kjellgren, lead & rhythm guitar] is going to drink too much; C) Christian [Älvestam, lead singer] won't drink at all to keep his voice in shape; and D) Jonas is going to shave most of his facial hair, leaving only a grand mustache, making him look like an old German geezer!"

Called "masters of melody, complexity, and aggression" by Kerrang! Magazine and praised by Metal Hammer for their "sickeningly good riffery," SCAR SYMMETRY are hitting the road in support of their 2006 sophomore album, Pitch Black Progress. The album climbed as high as #4 on the CMJ Loud Rock and #9 on FMQB charts. Their video for "The Illusionist" debuted on MTV2's Headbangers Ball in July 2006.

OCTAVIA SPERATI To Film 'Moonlit' Video In March

Norwegian metal band OCTAVIA SPERATI will film the video for its new song "Moonlit" on March 9-11 with director Tommy Næss, who has previously worked with Sahg, Audrey Horne, I and Gorgoroth among others.

OCTAVIA SPERATI's new album is tentatively due in May via Candlelight Records. "Two of the songs are originally from our first EP, called 'Guilty', released in 2002," the group previously stated. "This EP was released by OCTAVIA, and in a very limited edition. We really liked the songs then, and have now rearranged them for a new birth. The new versions kick ass and we can't wait to get this stuff out!"

MANES: How the world came to an end - cover and tracklisting revealed

The cover for the forthcoming MANES album 'How the world came to an end', set for release via Candlelight Records on the 16th of April, has now been revealed at here.

The artwork is done by Trine Paulsen and Kim Sølve of Trineogkim.no, who may be better known for their earlier work for bands like Ulver, When, Arcturus, Darkthrone, Solefald and many more.
The tracklisting for 'How the world came to an end' will be like this:
1. Deeprooted
2. Come to pass
3. I watch you fall
4. A cancer in our midst (plague one)
5. Last lights
6. Nobody wants the truth
7. My journal of the plague years (fu*kmensch warmensch)
8. The cure-all
9. Transmigrant
10. Son of night brother of sleep

"As we've mentioned earlier, the path leading up to this finished album has been a very conceptual process for us" comments Torstein.
"It's been us creating our path as we've gone, never really being able to see clearly the end of it, or when the end would come. It's not like it's miles away from our last album 'Vilosophe'; it's still dark and down, and it's still got elements of rock, metal and electronica in different measures throughout, but it's very different in many ways as well.

We've collaborated with a lot of talented people on this album, each of them with important creative input forming the outcome of this weird process. We're a total of 16 people on this album, and apart from Cern, Eivind and me, they are Asgeir Hatlen, Tor Arne Helgesen, Flegmatical, Trine Kolmannskog, WT, Spaz, P. Emerson Williams, Stein E. Bratland, Emily A. Saaen, Emil Sporsheim, Cornelius Jakhelln, Rachmiel and Rune Sørgård."

Torstein continues "The only little teaser we've shared from the album yet, is the song 'Deeprooted' that has been available a while now on the Candlelight sampler enclosed with the February issue of Metalhammer UK, but we'll be posting a track online in the close future for the rest of all y'all to enjoy.

And finally, a major www.manes.no overhaul is initiated now too. For obvious reasons."

ONSLAUGHT: Greek Show Halted Due To Injury

The reformed lineup of the classic U.K. thrash outfit ONSLAUGHT was forced to halt its show in Thessaloniki, Greece on Saturday (January 27) due to an injury sustained to a stage-diver.

Commented the group's vocalist, Sy Keeler: "While we encourage audience participation at our shows, you have all got to look out for one another. The fan was about to perform a backflip into the mass which was the pit when he slipped and mashed his head against the stage and knocked himself out, forcing us to halt proceedings for five minutes while he received medical attention.

We really thought we'd witnessed a serious injury, but within minutes he was back on his feet. I must add that the pit crew/security were second to none with their work helping people stay safe; this was just an unfortunate accident. I am pleased to report he made a full recovery in time to witness NAPALM DEATH."

IRON MAIDEN's Bruce Dickinson aired "Twisted Jesus" from the new ONSLAUGHT album "Killing Peace" on his January 27 BBC 6 Music radio show, aptly named "Rock Show". Listen again to the program at this location (the song airs at just after two hours).

DAM album nears completion - Album title revealed

London extreme metallers DAM's next album is in the final stages of production of their second album, titled "The Difference Engine" to be released by CANDLELIGHT RECORDS later this year.

An advance non-finalised version of the title track has been made available in the Metal Hammer UK covermount CD as well as on the band's myspace page

Guitarist/Vocalist Nathan speaks about the album:
"After several long months of writing, recording, mixing, re-recording, re-mixing, arguing, soul-searching, and returning to old mixes, we are finally coming to a stage where the fruit of all our efforts is in sight. The guitars sound massive.

The feel of the music itself is epic. We've brought in some extra special guest performers who have made sterling contributions to some of the songs on the album.

The recording itself was made in part in London's Eastcote Studios with Finnish producer Anders Nuberg at the helm, and I think his unique approach has produced exceptional results."

Drummer Gomez offers his thoughts:

"This record will change the world. I'm extremely excited about it. It was - and still is - a very intense process. But I believe that, as anyone who listens to the final product will be able to hear for themselves, it's definitely been worth the effort. The whole thing is going to be very organic and visceral.

As for the drums themselves there's pretty much no editing! I rather have that, than "perfect" lifeless takes that sound totally unnatural. I give you the real deal, as it should be."

FURZE to feature on "Wine of Satan" compilation

FURZE will participate on "Wine of Satan 2" compilation LP/CD later in 2007. Those of you old enough might remember this Greek output "Wine of Satan" from 1993. The original label passed the rights on to Necroterror Records and FURZE is the only Norwegian band they wanted to have on this vol 2.....

The UTD CD will be released on limited deluxe 1500 ex digipack (black embossed logo etc). Only the European version will be digi. Preorder the CD from Candlelight now!

EMPEROR to return to America

After triumphantly headlining the annual Wacken Open Air festival in Germany and four capacity performances in America last summer, Norwegian black metal pioneers EMPEROR have announced their return to the United States for three encore appearances this spring.
"We have made a decision to return to the U.S. for a few additional shows," notes guitarist Samoth. "This time Chicago is also put on the map.

"The shows last summer were very successful and we had an amazing turnout and support from all the fans. It was also a bit stressful because of the embassy hassle that we unfortunately had to endure. So we feel a few more shows are due and this time, all visas are in order and the band will appear in its full command."

June
01 - (US) B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York, NY

HASTE THE DAY - New album details; new song posted online!
Blending metallic heaviness with catchy, powerful hooks plus the best out of the entire spectrum of modern rock music, US-based HASTE THE DAY present their new album 'Pressure The Hinges' (European street date: March 26th, 2007) which impresses with its irresistible melodic charm, a great vocal performance by new singer Stephen Keech and over-the-top musicianship. Produced by Garth 'GGGarth' Richardson (Nickelback, Atreyu, Rage Against The Machine).

The title-track of HASTE THE DAY’ s third full-length 'Pressure The Hinges' can now be enjoyed online at www.myspace.com/hastetheday
so check it out and add this band to your myspace-friends if you haven’t yet!

Drummer Devin Chaulk comments on the new full-length:

"Pressure The Hinges' is a more diverse and mature record than anything HASTE THE DAY has released to date. It's heavier and yet it's more melodic. It's more brutal and at the same time, more beautiful. We've broadened the spectrum of sound on this record. We took the elements of HASTE THE DAY that people have embraced (heaviness and melody) and stepped them up a notch. We've never been so proud and we can't wait to unleash it on our fans, and introduce it to those who haven't heard us before. We're stoked, and we think others will be too.'

In 2006, the band completed a highly successful European tour introducing new vocalist Stephen Keech to the audience and HASTE THE DAY shall return to European stages this summer to present their new material live!

More news on HASTE THE DAY soon, stay tuned!
