More tour dates

NERINA PALLOT ANNOUNCES TOUR

Nerina Pallot has announced a 12-date tour of the UK and Ireland for November 2006.

Nerina Pallot

The tour follows on from Pallot's headlining show at London's Regents Park Theatre on September 3, which sold out a full two months in advance to make it her fourth sell-out London show this year alone. Pallot's consummate ability to captivate and enchant her audience has afforded her a phenomenal live reputation; The Independent recently rated her live performance as 5-star and described Pallot as being 'exceptional.' The tour will conclude with a performance at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on November 28.

In addition, Pallot will be releasing 'Sophia', which has been added to both the Virgin and Capital playlists, as a single on October 2 through 14th Floor Records.

Re-recorded for its single release, 'Sophia' is produced by Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Randy Newman) and follows Pallot's Top 20 hit single 'Everybody's Gone To War'.

The original version of 'Sophia' can be found on Pallot's stunning new album Fires, which was released by 14th Floor Records in April 2006 to widespread critical acclaim, and has now achieved Gold sales status in the UK.

Born in London to a half-French father and Indian-born mother, Pallot spent part of her childhood in India before settling in Jersey. In 2002, she released her debut album in the UK through a major label - an experience that taught her, "many things, but especially that it's never a good idea to make a video in which you fly." Parting company with the mainstream music business, Pallot recorded Fires between LA and her London home before releasing the album on her own label Idaho in 2005. Produced by Howard Willing (Smashing Pumpkins), Wendy Melvoin (Prince & The Revolution) and Eric Rosse (Tori Amos), the record teams Pallot's classical musical training with her love of country, folk and rock music - with influences including Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Carole King and Rufus Wainwright.

INXS

INXS ANNOUNCE EXTRA LONDON DATE

Due to public demand, INXS have announced the addition of a third London Shepherd's Bush concert (Tuesday November 7th). Tickets for this third London concert will go on sale Friday 8th September at 9am. The announcement follows INXS's sold out UK gigs at Shepherd's Bush (Oct 12), Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom (Nov 4) and Shepherd's Bush (Nov 6).

Following sold out tours of America, Canada and Asia, and currently reaping rave reviews on their sold out 20-date Australian tour, the band, featuring new frontman J.D. Fortune, have performed to half a million people since the beginning of 2006, with sales of their new album at 800,000. INXS roll into the UK and Europe for a series of intimate shows and an exclusive UK edition release of their new studio album "SWITCH", almost 9 months after the world tour's inception.

On August 27th Brisbane's Sunday Mail newspaper had this to say about the band's first gig on their current Australian tour - "If the jury was still out on the band's new album SWITCH and reality-TV spawned front man JD Fortune at the helm, then the first Australian taste of INXS's Switched On world out emphatically delivers a guilty verdict. Guilty, that is, of recapturing that exhilarating live form it became famous for with Michael Hutchence leading the charge before his untimely death almost 10 year ago. Canadian JD Fortune, 32, not only proves he has the pipes to belt out the big ones with precision, but he has the raw sex appeal, slick moves and showmanship that has re-energised this band."

"SWITCH" the new Guy Chambers-produced studio album will be released in the UK and Ireland through MX3/Universal on Monday October 16th. The 'UK Edition' of "SWITCH" will be repackaged with new artwork, will feature exclusive live tracks from the current world tour, exclusive remixes, videos and hidden new media content.
