LEWIS CLAY (THE HEAL)

The Heal hail from west London and play an intense and catchy brand of rock, not unlike the Foo Fighters at times. If they play near you go see them as they are excellent live.
www.the heal.net

The Heal have recently signed to Chromium Records (www.chromiunrecords.co.uk)

1. What are you currently up to? (e.g. touring/studio,etc.)

We are currently recording our first video for 'What If I Win' and are looking to gig around our local area for a bit to drum up some more fans and payback those who travel to see us in London.

2. Brief history of the band and the style of music you play.

We've all come from various musical backgrounds and after a playing together for 3 years now have developed an adrenalin driven, rock sound.

3. Have you seen an upswing in interest in all things metal & rock over the past few years? What sort of metal scene is there in your local area?

Our local area has been saturated with dance music and nightclubs that I doubt many people have ever even seen a live band in a pub let alone travel specifically to see one.

4. How has the Internet helped spread the word about the band and do you think downloading is helping or killing music?

Downloading is a good thing in the beggining of your career. You need exposure or it aint gonna happen.

5. What bands/artists do you admire and/or are an influence?

Anyone who has worked to get where they are. Manufactured bands and those with more money than talent are killing the British music scene.

6. What has been the highlight(s) and lowpoint(s) of your career to date?

Any time when someone takes notice and decides to come and see us again is a high point. The low points are when you find out whether this is really what you want.

7. What ideally would the Heal like to achieve ideally by this time next year?
Signed to a two album deal, a song in the top 10 with the future looking rosey.
8. How easy/hard is it to get gigs? What have been the live highlights so far?

If you have pride in this buisness you wont go far. The truth is no- one is gonna help you. Its very easy to lose your way when promoters run you around in circles to suit thier needs. But thats the way it is.

9. What's the most rock 'n' roll moment you have had so far?
Smashed guitars, smashed sticks and me...smashed. I live like I've already made it...if you dont look like its real to you, it wont be real to everyone else.
10. What CD's do you currently have available and where can they be purchased from?

The You e.p. is available at all our gigs, just for turning up (and free t-shirts to the first 5 people at a gig) or you can listen for free at www.theheal.net

11. Message to your fans...
Have faith...............it will happen. Thanks
