FREDERIKSEN-DENANDER Baptism By Fire Frontiers (2007)

Ex-Toto vocalist Fergie Frederiksen teams-up with guitarist/songwriter Tommy Denander (he's appeared on many albums and is the brains behind Radioactive).

Guests include Toto's Steve Lukather and Steve Porcaro, Michael Thompson and on the songwriting front you have Jim Petrik (Pride of Lions/Survivor) and Ricky Phillips (Styx/Bad English/The Babys), the latter also released an album with Frederiksen in the 90's.

As you'd expect this is prime time melodic rock with a few hints back to the classic Toto album Frederiksen sang on 'Isolation'. Just listen the guitar solos on 'Crossing Over' for further proof.

Highlights are many but I'd point you towards the AOR-tastic 'Silver Lining' which features some immense mid-section harmonies. 'Crossing Over; is a very catchy number, whilst 'My Saving Grace' just shows that Frederiksen has lost none of his vocal prowess.

A real 'must have' in 2007 for lovers of classy melodic rock and you will have hours of pleasure not only revelling in the fine vocals and tunes but also the top draw guitar solos from Tommy Denander.
