SCHUGAR/SCHENKER ‘Under Construction’ (2004)
Amy Schugar is a beautiful young lady (judging by the photo she sent me)
who’s been touring with MSG of late, and now has this demo collection
available through her website. She also has a great voice, that compliments
the Blond Bomber’s guitar well (a bit of a coup, really). Amy also adds some
guitar work, so you get a pretty full sound.
The music is very good rock, verging on metal, not quite outstanding, but
compared to bands like Heart this is so much stronger, with none of the
cheesy rubbish Joan Jett put out.
‘I Need The Feeling’ and ‘Back Through The Window’ feature some decent riffs
too.
A new hope for girls in metal.
