BAD HABIT Hear-Say Frontiers(2005)

Bad Habit formed back in 1986 and have released five albums so far, the last being ‘Adult Orientation’.

The album is solid, well played melodic rock with the added twist of the use of electronic beats and loops underlying most songs. It’s not a bad album with ‘To Love You’, the anthemic tones of ‘I Swear’ and the ballad ‘I Want To Know’ being stand out tracks.

The rest of the album is listenable but not something I could see myself playing much in the future being brutally honest. Fans of the band will doubtless lap this release up but other melodic rock lovers new to this band are best hearing a few tracks first.

Review by Jason Ritchie

***** Out of this world | **** Pretty damn fine |
*** OK, approach with caution unless you are a fan |
** Instant bargain bin fodder | * Ugly. Just ugly
