ANDY BLADE Treasure Here
Cherry Red CDBRED279 (2005)

Brand new solo album, 8 years in the making, Treasure Here features a fine blend of pop, folk, rock and punk. At the poppier end of those extremes, Blade sings and contributes rhythm and 12 string guitar, while lead guitarist Chris Jenkins adds some nice touches.

That said, it’s very ‘nice’, and lacking direction in places, but with the current favour for guitar led pop bands, it should do well.

The pub rock nods give an Elvis Costello edge. No bad thing.
