Bangkok Babes was founded in the summer of 1994 in a desperate attempt to rid the world of the whole grunge scene. Having already played together in several different outfits Lars Forseth and Sonny Crow decided to get serious and find the ultimate players for their new outfit Bangkok Babes. Sonny met up with guitarist Paul Wiik at a jam session and at the same time, on the other side of town Lars met frontman Darren H. Stone. Drum basher Peppa Bruvold had played in a few semi-professional bands and is one of the most sought after drummers in Norway. The guys have always kept an eye on Peppa so he was an obvious choice when it came time to fill the drum slot.

Inspired by acts like Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, Faster Pussycat and Skid Row, Bangkok Babes set out on a mission of world domination and settled for nothing less. They toured Norway with a spectacular live show one could not help but notice, a band that is loud, rude & aggressive! Shows were plentiful and packed, the crowds loved to see and hear the band perform and accepted them with an overwhelming response. Bangkok Babes were on their way to become the next big thing. They were chosen by legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore to support him on his visit to Norway. Now after a series of setbacks and unpredictable circumstances Bangkok Babes are happy to announce their signing with US label CHAVIS RECORDS with their first release due in 2003.
