We are happy we have the fourth Ephel Duath. Sergio Ponti made his debut with us on 28th September he's a fresh talent and he's pushing our sound to new exciting rhythmical perspectives. Here's some information about our new percussionist: he studied with Mokhtar Samba (Yousson N'Dour,Salif Keita, Richard Bona, Jean Luc Ponty) and Jay Dittamo (Band From Utopia, Junoon). This from Jason Decay: Brandon Wars and Jason Decay will no longer carry on as Goat Horn. After years of working together the obstacles in our path to our goals has brought everything to a stand still. Instead of working together with the constant frustrations, a descision has been made and Jason Decay and Brandon Wars have gone their seperate ways. To all the fans and friends that have supported Goat Horn through out the years; all is NOT lost. Through the ashes of this conclusion to the Goat Horn legacy, Decay and Wars' new music ventures will continue in seperate directions. Jason Decay, along with Al Biddle (Drums) will continue on down the Goat Horn path as CAULDRON once a new guitar player is enlisted (serious, positive spirited recruits get in touch!!). It was not an easy descision to make. Although everything came to head at the last show. Sort of like breaking up with a really hot chick that's a psycho. Like she's so hot and you love banging her but in the end you hate the person she is or the person you have become. Fan support has been a tremendous fuel for the fire that had inspired Goat Horn to give back ten fold and has never and will never be taken for granted. I personally feel terrible about what has happened and I am very sorry to every loyal individual of our legion. I never wanted to let anyone down and hopefully this never happens again. Solitude Aeturnus - "Alone" press release Texas' long running heavy doomers Solitude Aeturnus will release their 6th studio album entitled "Alone" through Massacre Records on November 10th. A current deal is being negotiated with an as of yet unnamed label for a North American release during the same month. The album was recorded at Nomad Studios in Carrolton Texas with both Sterling Winfield (Pantera) and J.T. Longoria (King Diamond) sharing engineering duties. Artwork for Alone was done by Travis Smith and will be available for preview soon. The band is very well pleased with the results and will plan some live dates shortly after to promote the release. Says guitarist John Perez, "This is easily some of heaviest and most overcast material that we've ever done. It's bleak and at the same time we've pulled a slightly more metallic edge to the overall album. It's a little different sound for us but one that I've been striving to attain for some time now.
