The CD was mastered by Achim Köhler at Indiscreet Audio in Germany.

"The Dying Wonders of the World" track listing:
01. Paradises into Deserts
02. The Wheel and the Blacklight
03. Deep in Your World
04. Some More Sin on My Burden
05. Shadows and Cancer
06. Bring Us Your Infected
07. The Option and The Poison
08. Sealed with a Fist
09. I've Only Got Knives for You

A five-minute "teaser sound clip" containing parts of four different songs from the upcoming record has been posted online at this location. Video footage from the recording studio can be viewed right here.

THE DUSKFALL last year announced the addition of bassist Matte Järnil (ex-21ST IMPACT) to the group's ranks. Järnil replaces former member Marco Eronen, who left THE DUSKFALL in July 2006 to focus on his main band, RAISED FIST.

THE RED CHORD film video for "Dead Prevails"; video interview with Guy Kozowyk

THE RED CHORD recently filmed a video for their song "Dread Prevailed" off their new album "Prey For Eyes", which hit stores July 27. The video was directed and shot by acclaimed director David Brodsky (GWAR, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD) of MyGoodEye, and will surface in the coming weeks.

Brodsky had the following to say about the experience: "Working with THE RED CHORD is always an amazingly interesting experience. Allie and I went up to Massachusetts to capture the band's home base vibe, and what we came away with is sure to not disappoint. Every time I hear their new album, 'Prey For Eyes', I hear something I hadn't heard the last time. Their creativity knows absolutely no bounds, and lets us experiment and play around with our own creative instincts."

In other news conducted an interview with THE RED CHORD frontman Guy Kozowyk on August 27, 2007 in Toronto at the Reverb. Watch the interview online at .

THE RED CHORD's new album, "Prey for Eyes", was released on July 27 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was produced by Zeuss (HATEBREED, FULL BLOWN CHAOS) and features the artwork of Paul Romano (TRIVIUM, MASTODON, MAROON).

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER - New song posted online

A brand new THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER track, entitled "What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse", has been posted at . The song comes off the band's new album, "Nocturnal", due on September 21 via Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2005's "Miasma" was recorded with Eric Rachel (who mixed "Miasma") and was mixed by Jason Suecof, who has previously worked with TRIVIUM, CHIMAIRA, DEVILDRIVER, GOD FORBID and BURY YOUR DEAD, among others. A video clip THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER performing a new song, entitled "Virally Yours", live at the Bled Fest 2007 on May 5 at the Skateland Complex in Westland, Michigan has been posted at .

"Nocturnal" track listing:
01. Everything Went Black
02. What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse
03. Virally Yours
04. I Worship Only What You Bleed
05. Nocturnal
06. Deathmask Divine
07. Of Darkness Spawned
08. Climactic Degradation
09. To a Breathless Oblivion
10. Warborn

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER vocalist Trevor Strnad told in January that"Nocturnal" will be "definitely in the same vein as our older stuff. Nothing drastically changed. It's just more tasteful, and some of this new stuff will be faster than the last record. There's going to be a lot more soloing than we've done previously. This record's a bit more European-sounding, I think. More so than we already were, if you can imagine that. The solo stuff has a black metal-ish flavour to it. We messed around with that a little bit previously, but some of the songs have a major DISSECTION kind of feel to them."

Lyrically, Strnad said the record will be "more horror-oriented" than "Miasma". "As far as gore and death and stuff like that goes, I mean, that's all been done - into the ground," he said. "I am just trying to do something like that, but with my own flavour to it. There are still ways to repulse people out there - I just need to figure it all out."

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER is also working on its first DVD release, which Strnad hopes will include footage documenting the making of the band's new record.

CELLADOR post new demo song

Nebraska-based power metallers CELLADOR have posted a demo version of another new track on their MySpace page ( ).

The song, "King of Your Illusion", is expected to appear on the band's next album, which will be recorded between November and December in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL) and mixed by Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, DEVILDRIVER, BURY YOUR DEAD).

Commented singer Michael Gremio: "Differently than 'Follow Me' [the other new song that was recently released], this track sounds nothing like [CELLADOR's debut album] 'Enter Deception'. It's the first time we wrote a mid tempo song, and the vocal and guitar work are different that what we usually do. That's part of the variety we've been talking about for the next record. We're very satisfied with this song and really want all of you to hear it".

BOLT THROWER - Merch @ Summer Breeze Open Air???

It will be situated next to the Metal Blade booth and will be open all day on the day BOLT THROWER play - Friday 17th August.

See you at the booth!

AS I LAY DYING - New song online

We're starting Warped Tour this weekend, so we thought it would be good timing to put another new song online. The release of "An Ocean Between Us" is only three weeks away and this Friday we will release the song "An Ocean Between Us"!

Check it out at or at our shit-hot online player

The new record is very diverse, so hearing another song will hopefully reveal just one more side of the album.

Also, we just finished our video for "Nothing Left" which will be our first single. The shoot came out amazing and I think it is our best video yet. Thanks to Brian Thompson and everyone from the crew that worked with us. Look out for the video the weekend before release date.

AMON AMARTH's "Wrath of the Norsemen" DVD certified gold in the US

Metal Blade Records is extremely proud to announce that Sweden's very own Viking metal masters AMON AMARTH have just received a gold award for sales in the US on their first ever DVD "Wrath of the Norsemen", which came out May 30th, 2006.

This is not only an amazing accomplishment for the band and the label but for metalheads everywhere! It's not often our genre sees numbers recognized by the RIAA for sales so we could not be happier to not only have accomplished this but to have reached this milestone in just over a year's time.

"Wrath of the Norsemen" features footage from a show in Cologne from 2005 filmed with 11 cameras! This was the longest show AMON AMARTH has ever played (23 songs!). Bonus footage includes interviews, behind-the-scenes of the DVD recording and footage filmed around the Cologne show!

Discs 2 and 3 feature professionally filmed shows from Summer Breeze 2005, the Metal Blade Rrroooaaarrr 2005 (a show with a really unusual set list!), Wacken Open Air 2004 and the release show for "Fates Of Norns" in Ludwigsburg (Germany) in 2004!

The band is currently finishing up an exceedingly successful run on this summer's Sounds of the Underground tour in North America and will then head back to Europe to perform at the Summer Breeze festival with a complete Viking ship onstage!

The performance at Summer Breeze will be followed up by a European tour with DIMMU BORGIR (dates posted below). AMON AMARTH will then return to the States this fall for a headline tour. Dates and support bands to be announced soon so keep your eyes peeled!

The band was awarded their plaques towards the end of their set by Brian Slagel himself at the L.A. stop of Sounds of the Underground in Irvine, CA on Saturday, August 4th at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. It was definitely a busy day of interviews, photo shoots and celebrating for the band, not to mention the spectacular live set they put on for the fans.

Here's what the band and Brian Slagel (Owner/CEO) of Metal Blade Records had to say about this amazing feat:

"We are proud and excited to announce that AMON AMARTH's DVD has gone gold here in the US! I would personally like to thank all involved with the project and especially the fans for making this a great achievement." - Brian Slagel

"It feels great that our DVD has sold gold in the USA. It came as a very pleasant surprise to us when we found out that it was possible that this might happen. We aimed to make a live DVD that was well worth the money for our fans and we think we succeeded in that. We're very grateful for the support from our fans and our label Metal Blade Records. Without it this would never have been possible. Thank you." - AMON AMARTH

FIREWIND - Apollo takes time out, Henning Basse (Metalium) steps in; "Breaking The Silence" single charts in Greece

FIREWIND mainman Gus G. has just issued the following statement:

"Dear all, Here's the latest news and facts.

It seems that 2007 has been quite an adventurous year for our singer Apollo. He's currently having some problems back home and needs to take the next few months off. As our touring schedule is quite heavy, we will continue with a replacement and give him the time he needs to get back smoothly.

The German vocalist Henning Basse (Metalium) will step in from now on and complete all the 2007 tour dates with us. Henning has helped us already in the past on some shows on our last European tour with Angra. He really kicks a** on stage and is a great singer and performer, as well as a great guy. We're grateful to have him on board once again and you'll be surprised by how hard this guy rocks!

All our upcoming shows will go on as scheduled and announced - no Firewind shows will be cancelled!

See you on the road soon!

Gus & Firewind"

THE POODLES - THUNDERGROUND 2007 - Rock City, Nottingham. Saturday, August 18th - Cancelled

Our favourite pooches, The Poodles, have been hit by the unfortunate decision (see below) to cancel the Thunderground Festival, which was due to take place at Nottingham's Rock City on August 18th.

The boys, who were due to be the main support act to Wigwam, were to have included several new tracks from their forthcoming album (due October 1st 2007) and were looking forward to returning to the country where they so successfully launched their live attack on the UK market with Hammerfall earlier this year.

We will be taking requests for interviews again soon and the guys are actively seeking to get over here as fast as possible.

The promoter of Thunderground issued the following statement yesterday; ""Hi all, It hurts me to say this but due to matters beyond my control and the total lack of support this show has received from the so-called fans; Thunderground is no more.

We left it as long as we could to allow for the late starters to buy their tickets but sadly this has not been the case.

Full refunds will be given to the fantastic people that supported this event and help with travel insurance and flight refunds will be freely given if people had booked flights and now need to cancel.

On a personal note; I'm totally done with this scene; after getting a line-up like this together and literally hemorrhaging money in order to bring this kind of show to the UK shores I am disgusted at the lukewarm response these bands have received. This was a once in a lifetime DREAM line-up.

My thanks go out to ARFM and AOR Heaven who helped out way beyond the call of duty - I will be forever in your debt.

Again, my sincere apologies go out to those that supported this event. I also hope this serves as a wake up call to those that think these shows will always be around. Please go buy tickets to either Firefest or MelodicRockFest if you haven't done so already. Support those shows.

Good luck to everyone. Regards, Daren."

RIDE THE SKY - Video for "New Protection"

The quintet among drum legend Uli Kusch (ex-GAMMA RAY/HELLOWEEN/MASTERPLAN) has just finished a new video to the theme song of their brand new album "New Protection". The video was shot by Owe Lingvall from Village Road Film in Sweden:

In an obscure end time scenario the band is impressively set in scene and gives the perfect setting to a fantastic song. So we can look forward to the European tour starting in November.

We're gonna play a special release show and there is no other place for us than our hometown Husum at the legendary "Speicher".

CLAWFINGER - Raise their voice against child abuse

In clear words the song "Little Baby" from the current album "Life Will Kill You" is dealing with child abuse. Especially singer Zak Tell is very concerned about that topic as he is the father of a five-year old son. So CLAWFINGER have decided to do something more: on September 14th the charity download single "Little Baby" will come out and sponsor the organisation "Hänsel And Gretel", which is dealing with the topic of child abuse.

The band will start a campaign in autumn, that will be introduced in a big press conference beginning/middle of September. Our press partners will get informed about it soon. Since the founding of the organisation in 1997 Hänsel And Gretel is supporting different children ´s protection projects that offer direct help to abused young people. The organisation fights for a bigger lobby for children and also tries to make families, parents, teachers, police, lawyers and doctors aware of the topic. Hänsel And Gretel has started when the terrible cases of child abuse around the Dutroux-affair in 1996 became transparent.

LIQUIDO - Have entered the studio

The German rockers have finished four tracks by now, and they're about to work on the other ones in a studio in Berlin. Till the show on August 18th in Dresden LIQUIDO want them to be finalized (and kickin', of course!). At the moment they're deciding how the album should be named, so that their graphic designer may begin his work on the booklet and cover.

The release has been delayed again, so the single will be released in January and the album in February 2008. LIQUIDO explain the delay with the fact that they just take the time it needs to have the record sound best possible!

They're waiting for some new merchandise material, for some is sold out and many of the fans keep asking about new stuff. The LIQUIDO members want to edit their online shop as soon as there are new shirts, bags and cardigans.

They are also thinking about some interesting new features on the band ´s homepage. They might have to wait for the upcoming design of album and page, but they're going to test some new ideas soon. Work for their first DVD is in progress, too. LIQUIDOs management is busily doing their best to have it realized soon. Check out all upcoming live dates HERE!

TESTAMENT - Italian dates cancelled!

Veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers TESTAMENT have cancelled their previously announced dates in Italy due to "scheduling conflicts." The promoter of the Italian gigs, Debbie Bisceglia, has released the following statement from TESTAMENT's management regarding the cancellations: "Due to events beyond their control, TESTAMENT are cancelling two upcoming shows in Italy only, August 31 and September 1.

The band wishes to express their grief in cancelling these two shows." There has been a difficult situation recently involving band drummer Nick Barker having visa issues and due to scheduling conflicts the band are going into the studio earlier at the end of August, earlier than anticipated, to begin recording their forthcoming Nuclear Blast release.

TESTAMENT wishes to thank the fans for their continued support as well as Debbie and the Italian promoters of these shows for being so generous with their understanding of the situation. TESTAMENT will be back in Italy soon and make it up to everyone. The affected dates are as follows. Aug. 31st Velvet - Rimini, Italy and Sep. 1st Route To Hell Fest - Palamaggio-Caserta, Italy

SONATA ARCTICA - New guitar player announced

Guitarist Jani Liimatainen left the band and is substituted by Elias Viljanen. Therefore SONATA ARCTICA want the following to be known: "During fall of '06 and spring of '07, Jani's personal matters and actions drove us to a situation where we had no option but to ask Jani to leave the band. Jani was notified of this in May, and the separation was amicable.

We wanted to give Jani the chance to get his life together before making this public, which is why we didn't make this announcement earlier. We wish Jani well on his chosen path. "Show must go on", so, facing the facts, we hereby humbly announce that Elias Viljanen is from this day forward a full and official member of SONATA ARCTICA.

Throughout this summer, on many occasions, Elias has shown himself to be able to fill the big boots Jani left behind. We hope our friends and our fans understand that this was the only choice left for us to make so that our band could continue. SONATA ARCTICA has always been, and always will be, more than the sum of its parts. The band has become for us a way of life, a lifeline that simply can not be cut off. A long "Unia"-tour lies in front of us. We extend Elias a warm welcome to the SONATA family, and we hope the fans will, too. SONATA ARCTICA is whole again. See you on the road!"

AVANTASIA - Surgergy and Wacken confirmation

EXODUS - Interview about upcoming album

Gary Singh of recently conducted an interview with EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt. A few excerpts from the chat follow:

On whether EXODUS' first album, "Bonded by Blood", will be in a car commercial someday:

"Hell, 'Deathamphetamine' from our last album was used in a K&N air filters commercial, so we're halfway there. But the next [album] is as sick and dark as anything done before, and we'll continue doing just that as long as I'm enjoying myself."

On EXODUS going through a new rebirth:

"Look at our last two records. They are amazing slabs of metal, and when you hear the new one, you'll realize that very few bands are able to put out back-to-back to back releases with the fire and intensity of ours. The new album is a genre-defining moment for us and thrash in general, and we as a band feel more inspired and motivated than any time before."

DARKANE - Singer quits

DARKANE have the posted the following statements on their homepage:

"The time has come, my friends for me to step down from my position as vocalist of the greatest band in the world!

I feel I've reached a stand still in the creative process with DARKANE and together we came to the decision to let fresh blood into the band for the upcoming fifth album. DARKANE is constantly evolving and I'm sure that this ignition will be great for the band.

We certainly part ways as very good friends and we're in fact still working together on finishing the long awaited DVD. Hopefully the DARKANE "Layers of Live" DVD will be released this autumn and, in a way, sum up my 7 years with DARKANE and be the perfect closure.

I feel very honoured and privileged to have been a part of such a great musicianship as DARKANE and I have tons of great memories from all we've experienced together. I'm really gonna miss it! I want to send out a great big thanks to all the people I've met and gotten to know over these 7 years! To all family and friends for supporting me and the band.

To all the great bands we've met, played and toured with, especially to Devin Townsend (I wouldn't have made it through the U.S. without you!). To all the crew that has helped us out over the years. To Erin Lynch for believing in us and coping with all our bad habits, misshapes, accidents and illnesses (You sure are the DARKANE tour mama!). To the Nuclear Blast crew, in Europe as well as in the USA (Thanks for helping me fulfil one of my biggest dreams, Gerardo! Keep working those vocals, Loana, and keep your enthusiasm flowing!).

To all the fanzine's that spread the word about Metal all over the world. Your work is extremely important and appreciated! And finally a HUGE thanks to all the fans all over the world for coming to the shows and supporting DARKANE! You are my, and DARKANE's, true inspiration! See ya! /Andreas."

"Thank you Andreas! We can look back at seven great years together with Andreas. He joined us as a stand in for Lawrence on a small tour with SOILWORK and NAGLFAR in March 1999. After the first show of the tour it was clear that he was the guy we were looking for!

Since then Andreas has sung on three albums and participated on tours with DARKANE in Europe, US, Japan and Israel. We have had a lot of fun together and Andreas has always been the helpful, happy and friendly guy in the band. We sure are gonna miss you, and we know that you´ll reach a lot of success with whatever you do in the future! We would like to wish you all the happiness and success and thanks a lot for being a part of DARKANE!

With love! (not in that way =)…)

Christofer, Peter, Klas and Jörgen

News about an upcoming vocalist will come soon…"

CHIMAIRA - European tour cancelled

Cleveland's CHIMAIRA have issued the following official statement:
"As you may or may not know, we have decided to cancel our upcoming U.K./European run.

There's really no way for us to describe our sorrow after having decided to pull out of the Eastpak Antidote tour. It was an extremely difficult decision for us to make, and one that we have been painfully mulling over for weeks now.

We'd first like to apologize to all of our die-hard fans, and then to all the great guys (and girl) in SOILWORK, CALIBAN and SONIC SYNDICATE.

After nine years and more than 700 shows, we can proudly say that we've cancelled a little more than a handful. Our motto has always been that somebody's got to be either sick or dead before we pull the plug. However, this time that is not the case. No one is sick, no one is dead, and not one of us is even tired. In fact, it's the exact opposite... All six of us are on fire with creativity. And if we don't take some time to let it flow, it could possibly go away.

As a lot of you know, the last record brought a lot of unity and excitement back to our band. Our brotherhood is stronger than ever, and we've finally 're-focused.' We need to get back into the rehearsal space and explore some of the song ideas we've got going on right now. This record cycle is certainly not over for us, and we still plan on touring heavily in support of 'Resurrection' throughout the winter, and throughout 2008.

We're also not 'writing and recording' a new record right now, so don't get that idea... (maybe an EP??). We've just decided that we need to spend the next three months laying down some material that is flowing through us uncontrollably. We've looked at this decision from every angle, and the last thing we'd ever want to do is disappoint our loyal fans. But as painful as it was, we all agreed that this decision was best for CHIMAIRA's 'Big Picture.' So please be hopeful, like we are, that this decision will benefit us all in so many ways. After all, you've got to strike while the iron's hot.

So fear not Chimairians..... we've got a ton of great ideas in mind for the future. Our winter U.S. headlining tour will be some of our best shows to date and you'll see a fire in us like you've never seen before. Plus everyone is going to start hearing a lot of the songs that you've been asking for. And we definitely plan on bringing the same passion overseas sometime in early 2008. We've got some killer ideas on the table, we're shooting a new video, and frickin' Andols is back!

Finally, our sincerest hopes that you will all understand and forgive. And we promise to make it up to you all in one way or the other."

THE RED CHORD - "Dread Prevailed" Video Teaser Available

THE RED CHORD recently filmed a video for their song "Dread Prevailed" off their new album "Prey For Eyes", which hit stores July 27. The video was directed and shot by acclaimed director David Brodsky (GWAR, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD) of MyGoodEye, and will surface in the coming weeks. A teaser for the clip can be seen @ .

Commented Brodsky: "Working with THE RED CHORD is always an amazingly interesting experience.

"Prey For Eyes" was recorded and produced earlier this year by Eric Rachel at Trax East in New Jersey.

PRIMORDIAL to release new album in November

Vocalist Nemtheanga of the Irish dark metal masters PRIMORDIAL has posted the following update on the group's official web site:

"So the battle is half over….the [new PRIMORDIAL] album remains only to have the lion's share of vocals done and then mixed and mastered. The projected release date is in November on Metal Blade…. I still haven't been hit with an album title yet though, everything I think of is either too blunt or too damn angry right now. In true PRIMORDIAL fashion it has to be something open to interpretation. It will come.

"The album sounds massive so far, Chris at Foel Studios has done a sterling job so far. Being able to all jam together, do as much live as possible and use loads of old analog gear has made a massive difference. Being removed from the madness of a big city for the first time has also been a great help, no distractions. You have nothing else to do but focus on the music.

"I did, however, curse the Gods by saying in the last message how much I was looking forward to stepping out into the sunshine after a take. By the end of the week I even had a damn cold the weather was so bad.

It has rained apparently at least part of everyday now for nearly 60 days…It rained and it rained and fu*king rained and I think if we had booked the studio even one week later we might not have been able to get to the studio from Liverpool with the flooding that has been ravaging the U.K. for the last few weeks. By the grace of the Gods themselves.

"Apart from that the picture disc of the demo looks like coming out first of the ones I mentioned before that we are planning with the Sentinel version of 'The Gathering Wilderness' not far behind. The first 100 of the picture disc look like being a special edition with a limited shirt so to find out the details email No Sign of Life.

"Finally we are playing Party.San Open Air on Saturday the 11th. We are a late addition/replacement for someone or other. Before GRAVE and after MELECHESH in the early evening. Should be a good way to round off the summer and book end the recording of the new album."

HATE ETERNAL adds permanent second guitarist

HATE ETERNAL is proud to announce the newest member to its family, Shaune Kelley, joining the band as the second guitarist.

Leader Erik Rutan comments: "Shaune and I played together in RIPPING CORPSE for over 5 years before my involvement in MORBID ANGEL and HATE ETERNAL, and have been friends for over 20 years.

I am totally ecstatic to have Shaune in the band and recreate a guitar team that always connected on all fronts. Shaune's contribution to the new record will be tremendous as well as touring that will follow.

It will be the first time HATE ETERNAL will actually be a four piece live band, due to other situations never working out. Rehearsals have been amazing jamming with Alex, Jade, and Shaune for the last couple of months at Mana Studios. The new songs are finished and sounding awesome!

We have spent much more time on the preparation of this new album on all fronts compared to our past releases and the results have provided a much more focused and deeper layered results (more solos, yes!). We start recording the drums on August 21st and then following through, finishing by mid October for an early 2008 Metal Blade release."

Erik Rutan

FALCONER guitarist comments on Wacken Open Air and the next album

FALCONER guitarist Stefan Weinerhall has issued the following update:

"So, after [an appearance at this year's] Wacken [Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany], we can only say WOW!!!! We had a blast before, during and after the show. Great to see so many of you there, we can't wait to return.

The deadly boring car ride home was only lit up by the memories from what we had experianced. During one of the days we had a small trip out to the camping site and got to see what all metal fans have to withstand to see their favourite bands. The filth, the stench and the utter chaos! Now we have Metal Heart festival in Norway left to do and then it's full concentration on the new material."

FALCONER recently extended its deal with Metal Blade for another four albums. The group is currently writing material for its new CD, which will feature "slightly faster and with more unexpected turns," according to Stefan. "The lyrics will all be about Swedish medieval life and episodes. Not a concept album really but still something in that direction. What I decided early on was that it wouldn't become 'Northwind Pt. 2'. 'Northwind' is as good as it can be, therefore we'll make things a tad different this time."

FALCONER's fifth studio album, "Northwind" - the group's first since the departure of singer Kristoffer Göbel and return of Mathias Blad - was released last September via Metal Blade Records.

CELLADOR post another new demo song

Nebraska-based power metallers CELLADOR have posted the third (and one of the last) clip of a demo song on their MySpace page: . This time, the chosen track is called "In My Hands" and features only the solo section. "In My Hands" is expected to appear on the band's next album, which will be recorded between November and December in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL) and mixed by Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, DEVILDRIVER, BURY YOUR DEAD).

Guitarist Bill Hudson says: "We're finally realizing what we heard from our idols since forever: That fans always get weirded out by the slightest change. Because of that, we decided to upload the solo section of one of the fastest tracks will have in this album. This is the CELLADOR you're all used to, only a step higher, at least in our opinion.

So far, we have shown 'Follow Me', which is basically a straight-up power metal song, 'King of Your Illusion', which is our first midtempo ever and now 'In My Hands', to show you all that we're still the same band! This track is fast, it has shredding, it will blow your minds! Again, it'll be online for a limited period of time, and it will be the last track for a while! We might upload one more before we go to the studio in November, but that will take some time."

CELLADOR's "Enter Deception" album was released in August 2006 via Metal Blade. The CD was recorded at Mana Studios in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan.

AS I LAY DYING - Explanation on bassist change

AS I LAY DYING frontman Tim Lambesis has issued the following update:

"Since we just put a new song up with Josh Gilbert's [bass] vocals on the chorus, I thought I would explain the story of why Clint [Norris] is gone and where Josh Gilbert came from...

"Clint wanted to pursue a lifelong career that he could be passionate about since he could not picture himself being in the band forever once he got married. His wedding was in March and he's now able to stay home with his wife.

"For those of you who are just finding out now, we've been playing without him since November 2006 when we started writing for 'An Ocean Between Us'.

"It is important for our fans to know that this has not changed the band in any way and has ultimately put both AS I LAY DYING and Clint in a better place. Our first recordings, 'Frail Words Collapse', and 'Shadows are Security', were all written and recorded without Clint, so the new CD isn't any different in that respect. Although Clint was in the band during 'Shadows are Security' and we will always be thankful for his great live energy, he was not involved in the songwriting process.

Therefore, he had a hard time learning the songs in short amount of time we had while recording. Phil ended up playing bass, and our friend Dave Arthur (who is in an amazing band called KINGS TO YOU) did a guest vocal appearance on all of the clean singing. Dave is credited on the record along with other great guest vocalists like Dan Weyandt from ZAO.

"The four of us (Phil, Jordan, Nick and I) started writing 'An Ocean Between Us' in late 2006. At the same time, we were looking for a new bass player. We weren't able to find Josh Gilbert until after we had finished writing, but he was able to make it to San Diego in time to record both bass and clean vocals on the new record. It feels good to know that the person recording bass and clean singing on our new record will be same person playing those songs live. Our guitar players have always played bass on every record... until now!

"Josh's old band was called THIS ENDEARING and previously GATE CITY. Their manager was a good friend of mine and he'd sent me the demo to see if I was interested in signing the band to my label. I told him that the band seemed pretty talented but I wanted to sit on it and hear more songs whenever they recorded again. About a month later, I got a call because THIS ENDEARING had broken up. I told their manager that I really liked the voice of the guitar player who also did the clean singing, so I asked if I could give him a call about trying out for AS I LAY DYING.

"Before Josh was able to make it to San Diego, we tried out about 10 other guys and we had even talked about having our old friend Dave Arthur play with us. Once Josh finally got to San Diego, he really stood out, so we asked him if he could be ready in a week to come out with us on tour. It was that tour that solidified the fact that Josh was the right guy for us. When we returned, Josh packed his things and moved out San Diego just in time to record 'An Ocean Between Us'.

"See you all soon on tour! By the way, our new video for 'Nothing Left' might air on TV as early as the 11th. Look out for new songs. The new record is very diverse."

"An Ocean Between Us" is scheduled for release on August 24 through Metal Blade Records. Produced by KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz (EVERY TIME I DIE, ALL THAT REMAINS), the CD will contain a dozen tracks, including "Separation" and the first single, "Nothing Left".

AEON - New song posted online

BRING ME THE HORIZON's maiden voyage across the U.S. begins tonight at BB King's Blues Club in New York City and the band couldn't be more excited. As bassist, Curtis Ward poignantly states; "BB King is cool."

Don't let that bit of British humor understate how ecstatic the band is to finally play in America and give their fans on this side of the pond the type of aural and physical brutality that they've been begging to experience for a long time.

PRIMORDIAL reveal new album title

So we are finally finished the recording of our sixth album. After a few rain sodden weeks locked up in Foel Studios in North Wales "To The Nameless Dead" is for all but mastering and final artwork completed.

This time far away from the chaos and negative influences of a big city the recording process was far smoother and more complete then we have ever known. We left at the end quietly satisfied as opposed to feeling like our nerves were shot and far more stressed then we began. Much of this we owe to Chris Fielding who engineered it and put many long hours into its creation and to Dave Anderson who has created something we can only call a "good vibe" in the middle of nowhere far from the meddling influence of civilisation….immense thanks.

The sound is of course instantly recognisable as PRIMORDIAL but more powerful then before, heavier and richer with a much more rounded sound then before. Whereas "The Gathering Wilderness" was a dark often impenetrably bleak work "To The Nameless Dead" has found the fire in its veins to defy, to rebel, to stand up and oppose all. This is a vast and epic album, more pounding and full of rage than PRIMORDIAL has been for many a winter…

It is defiantly at odds with a modern metal scene that often seems to place banality, mediocrity and safety above passion, honesty and truth.
It does not sound like a computer recorded it, it does not sound like a procession of riffs simply poached from metals founding fathers, it is not a mindless exercise in musical masturbation. This is Metal as it was meant to be played. With Passion…

We play music because we have to…this is in our veins. This is our culture, our history, our folklore, our heritage. We make no apologies, we will not compromise. And now with our sixth album "To The Nameless Dead" we are about to make our strongest statement yet…

BORN FROM PAIN - Stop at nothing

We are happy to announce that we have finally found a steady frontman in our long-time friend Kevin Otto (formerly of END OF DAYS).

We jammed together and couldn't be more thrilled about what came out.
Kevin adds a dose of unmatched aggressiveness to the BORN FROM PAIN sound that will step up the level of brutality for a new release and future live shows.

We are glad the wait is over! Expect a new song soon! However, due to personal reasons, Kevin will not be doing any shows with us until after the Hell On Earth tour.

Therefore, BORN FORM PAIN will be fronted by good friend and TERROR vocalist Scott Vogel during the 3,5 weeks the Hell On Earth tour lasts.

Thanks to Paul SUPERIOR, Marcel PLATOON and Carl FIRST BLOOD for helping us out and doing a great job on the microphone in times of need.

Also, a huge thank you to all of you for supporting the band during this period. This proves to us, once again, that you are the most loyal crowd a band could ever wish for! Thanks.

Unbroken. Unbeaten. Stopping at nothing!
