AFTER FOREVER - Upcoming shows without Sander Gommans

Due to health reasons, AFTER FOREVER guitarist and grunter Sander Gommans won't be able to join the band for their upcoming live shows, including the Earthshaker Roadshock Tour through Europe which kicks off on April 27th. As for the CD presentation of the new album "After Forever" today (April 17th) at the Tivoli in Utrecht, Holland, George Oosthoek from ORPHANAGE is going to replace Sander doing the grunts. There won't be any replacement during the tour, though. Please find enclosed Sander's statement:

"Lately, when I've been under stress or performing any heavy activity, I get spells of vertigo and debilitating black-outs, followed or preceded by a migraine. The last few performances with the band did not go as well as I would have liked because of these symptoms and I'm afraid it seems to be getting worse. I'm seeking medical advice to try and figure out what exactly is going on so that I can get better and get back to performing as soon as possible.

Touring and performing are pretty taxing and strenuous, and I have therefore been advised to remain off stage until this affliction has been properly diagnosed and treated. It's really difficult for the band and particularly for me personally to have to bow out at this crucial time, but I'm afraid it's necessary at this point. I need to follow doctor's orders and take care of myself. I can assure you that my main priority is still AFTER FOREVER and getting back in gear to perform as soon as I am able. Please hang in there and understand that this is a difficult time for me, so some respect for my privacy will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your support and well-wishes. It means a lot!"

JOB FOR A COWBOY to join North American Sounds Of The Underground tour, UK's Download Festival in support of new album 'Genesis'

Fast-rising extreme metal unit JOB FOR A COWBOY has announced both North American and United Kingdom festival dates in support of their eagerly anticipated debut album 'Genesis'. The band, known for their punishing songs, explosive live performances and forward thinking vision, will release 'Genesis' on May 21st via Metal Blade Records.

JOB FOR A COWBOY will perform amongst the featured artists at England's massive Download Festival, set to take place June 8, 9 and 10. JFAC have been added to the three day festival amongst a hot list of artists that includes LAMB OF GOD, MARILYN MANSON, MÖTLEY CRUE, SHADOWS FALL, TURBONEGRO, VELVET REVOLVER and WOLFMOTHER. The Download Festival is a three day music fest held annually at the spiritual home of rock music in England: Donington Park (which hosted the Monsters of Rock Festivals between 1980 and 1996 and 2002's Ozzfest).

Furthermore, JOB FOR A COWBOY will perform live as part of the 2007 "Sounds of the Underground" tour, set to launch Friday, July 6 in Dallas, TX. The band joins the third instalment of the cutting edge annual trek alongside EVERY TIME I DIE, AMON AMARTH, DARKEST HOUR, GOATWHORE, THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU and more.

JOB FOR A COWBOY, who toured the world in 2006 in support of their wildly-popular, self-financed 'Doom' EP, recorded 'Genesis" at Blue Light Audio Media in Phoenix, AZ with producer Cory Spotts. The album was mixed by the Grammy winning Andy Sneap (OPETH, ENTOMBED, MEGADETH). Anticipation for "GENESIS" is such that the band has already been named one of "Metal's Most Important Troops for 2007" by Metal Hammer, one of Total Guitar's "Hottest Guitar Bands of 2007", one of Alternative Press' 2007 "Bands You Need to Know" and one of Revolver's "Breakthrough Bands that will be Kicking You're a** this Year".

On the topic of the new album, JOB FOR A COWBOY guitarist Ravi Bhadriraju comments, "'Genesis' is a record that we as a band needed to fulfil. We wrote an album that we wanted to play live well into the distant future. If there is one word to describe our new record, it is "aggressive". We want this album to have a certain effect on the listener. I am happy with what we have achieved, and I hope our fans appreciate it too."

Vocalist Jonny Davy states, "We wrote the material that became the 'Doom' EP at a very young age and the sound of this upcoming record is a much different one than anything we've done before. We're anxious for its release and we hope everyone who hears it will enjoy."

The final track listing for GENESIS is as follows:

1.) Bearing The Serpent's Lamb
2.) Reduced to Mere Filth
3.) Altered From Catechization
4.) Upheaval
5.) Embedded
6.) Strings of Hypocrisy
7.) Martyrdom Unsealed
8.) Blasphemy
9.) The Divine Falsehood
10.) Coalescing Prophecy

The brand new JFAC song 'Embedded', as well as a sneak peak at the 'Genesis' cover artwork can be found on the band's MySpace page

The striking album cover has also been posted at

JOB FOR A COWBOY is currently in the midst of a European tour as direct support to UNEARTH. Immediately upon the completion of the tour, the band will launch a string of U.S. dates with DARKEST HOUR, followed by live dates with CANNIBAL CORPSE and THE RED CHORD.

MORTIIS reveals cover art for 'Some Kind of Heroin'

Mortiis has made public the cover artwork for the upcoming remix album 'Some Kind of Heroin', out today...

Comments Mortiis on the design process for the sleeve:
"The art is pretty symbolical again, it was created during the filming of the 'Decadent and Desperate' video by Adam Mason, he made all these really gritty looking stills that he sent me afterwards and I always loved them, and it's great to be able to use them for something in the end.

It's cool to be able to use something that is already so closely tied in with the original 'The Grudge' album, it's the final step, we're leaving this space now and it's time to move on. Here it is, upwards and onwards."

The album, released on both CD and a double vinyl with exclusive bonus tracks, will additionally see a first pressing CD housed in a limited edition slipcase sleeve.

Mortiis is partway through a full European tour with Deathstars, with remaining dates listed here.

CELLADOR with keyboards!?

The band will be joined by PYRAMAZE keyboard player Jonah Weingarten as a special guest during their performance at the ProgPower USA VII festival on October 4 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Commented CELLADOR guitarist Bill Hudson: "Jonah is one of my best friends, and we've been talking about doing something together for a while. Even though he's not a part of CELLADOR, we'll be more than happy to have him on stage with us at ProgPower. We're also preparing a couple of other surprises for that show."

CELLADOR in Guitar World! Guitarist Bill Hudson made a guest appearance in Guitar World's CD-Rom edition of "Betcha Can't Play This" for their July 2007 issue!

Check out a preview of what you'll see here:

It's been less than four months since we parted ways with our bass player, and we're happy to inform you that we have found a replacement. His name will be announced soon, but I can assure that some of you already know who he is. He's definitely the best choice we could have made, and you'll all be very impressed with him.

But unfortunately, I have to - once again - announce that CELLADOR is no longer working with drummer and very good friend David Dahir. He has always been more into death metal and more brutal styles of music, and even more recently has began to further venture into the realm of extreme music. In the last few months Dave has become more interested in these styles and because of this everyone involved thought it would be good if we tried different things.

Maybe we'll work together again in the future. Who knows? Dave is very talented and young, and we'll be happy to help him in anyway we possibly can. We're sure you'll hear about his other musical projects very soon.

At this time CELLADOR is holding auditions in order to find a replacement drummer. We are seeking someone who at the very least is willing to fill in so we can fulfill our upcoming show obligations.

The band is seeking an energetic and motivated individual, preferably 25 years of age or younger, with a devout and passionate commitment to music and drumming. We are looking for someone with amazing footwork and stamina in particular.

A background in extreme music in addition to power metal would be a huge plus, as we want to incorporate a lot of these elements into our music. If you are interested or know of anyone who might be, please e-mail us at or message us on our MySpace page.

DESASTER gearing up to record sixth album

"Maniax! Thanxx for the support at the Metal Cruise I! We are now preparing for Finland and the Hellbangers Open Air. But the most important thing right now is our new songs that we have written… The song writing process is finished and now we rehearse like hell. The new album “Satan's Soldiers Syndicate” will be recorded in Lossar/NL at the end of May… SO BE PREPARED for the 6th strike of pure blacking Riff Metal without mercy! Await a total DESASTER!!!"

EVERGREEN TERRACE in mixing mode

"So the new record, 'Wolfbiker', is now being mixed by a rad dude that rides by the name of Jason Livermore. I got to tell you every time I open up my email and see a new mix in my inbox, I get butterflies in my stomach. July 24th it will be unleashed to the rest of the world."

SHAI HULUD - "Misanthropy Pure"

Please accept our most humble apologies for the inexcusable lack of updates. We have an excuse. Book your tickets to hell because it's all nice and frozen down there, and lo! a pig high in the sky. We have indeed been writing our next album which -- if you'll just stop snickering for a moment -- we will start recording... very soon.

Yes, you read right -- say it with us, "veh-ree soo-en." In fact, the album will be completed this year and titled 'Misanthropy Pure' because we still hate everyone. Yes (sigh), you too. No release date has been set yet. We want to confirm things three times over before we release any inaccurate information to you, the good, and quite possibly overfed public.

We will tell you this, 'Misanthropy Pure' will feature ten new songs (including 'To Bear The Brunt Of Many Blades' -- the 2006 demo version can be heard by clicking  that were scientifically structured to knock socks -- regardless of the wearer's gender, race, or length of toenails -- clean off. Really. We hired a crack team of metalcore specialists to study today's hippest, hottest, most unit moving bands to find out what you, the good, and quite possibly medicated to at least some degree public, looks for in today's music (this is, of course, why Britney Spears sans hair has been in various pits across the globe demonstrating her style as of late). Upon receiving the results, we were so appalled we used them as a blueprint to construct an album that is nothing short of the perfect antithesis (that means opposite -- er, so we think) of what most of you want to hear. That's right, most of you guys and gals sure have bad taste. No worries, so do we. Just ask our moms.

There will be more new album information posted periodically. This was just to let you know that things are very much underway. Please stay tuned, and like Robocop sternly warned us in 1986, "Stay out of trouble."

Severe Torture in the studio

Dutch death metallers SEVERE TORTURE are currently in the studio working on their forthcoming new album scheduled for release at the end of June on Earache records.

Guitarist Thijs van Laarhoven sent this update:
"Hey folks! A short update here.... We are momentarily right in the middle of recording of our new, as yet untitled, album. Seth already did an amazing job on drums and created an ultra tight foundation for the new songs. Marvin and I finished recording all the guitars last week and it turned out heavy as hell.

All the leads were finished last Sunday and yesterday Pat finished his bass tracks and thus far all the stuff sounds absolutely killer! Next weekend Dennis will start recording the vocals. The new record will feature 10 new songs and we recorded 3 special surprises to be used for bonus tracks etc... Also a big chance that there will be some special guests on the album, but more about that later! So look out for new updates over the next couple of weeks, as we will be announcing the album title, the track list and all other kinds of cool stuff! Cheers! ST"

EPICA - Sign with Nuclear Blast

Nuclear Blast is proud to announce the signing of Dutch Symphonic Metallers EPICA! Formed by guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Mark Jansen in 2002, EPICA have so far released three albums, one of them a full-length soundtrack in the vein of Hollywood composers Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman.

The Dutch metallers have already toured in 24 countries all over the world including successful tours through Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and the USA. Currently the band is putting finishing touches to the upcoming and yet untitled album, which is scheduled for a release in August/September this year. It was recorded again at the Gate Studio with renowned producer Sascha Paeth.

The band themselves is talking about the heaviest EPICA material so far!!! "We would like to thank Markus Staiger and all the crew at Nuclear Blast and we very much look forward to working together with you guys! ", mastermind Mark Jansen commented the good news.

TURISAS - Reveal two new songs and artwork for new album ‘The Varangian Way'

Imagine a time when warriors strode the earth. A time when battle-painted warrior-poets sang of battles and heady feats of heroism, myth intermingled with fact, and romantic notions of adventure on the high seas sparked the imagination. The time is now, because battle metal maestro's TURISAS – named after their homeland's ancient god of war – are bringing back the old –school with the sophomore album “The Varangian Way”.

"We definitely have high expectations lined up after the success of our debut album “Battle Metal””, says vocalist and producer Warlord. “Quite often the second album is done in a rush and doesn't live up to the standards of the debut. We took three years to get it right, and there's no doubt about it: “The Varangian Way” tops “Battle Metal” with such ease I almost feel sorry for our debut."

In order to get a first taste check out a medley of two brand-new songs, “To Holmgard And Beyond” and “A Portage To The Unknown” here

One unusual detail that emphasizes the uniqueness of “The Varangian Way” is the fact that all solos were played on an electric violin instead of a guitar.

Graphic artist, illustrator and designer John Coulthart (Cradle Of Filth; Hawkwind; poster and cover art for spoken word albums by writer Alan Moore ["Watchmen", "V for Vendetta"]) did the stunning artwork for this special album that will give you further insight on the brave travellers' journey through the East.

With already confirmed slots at Download (MAINSTAGE – SATURDAY 9TH JUNE) Graspop, With Full Force, Rock Hard Festival, Tuska, and plans for a relentless, take-no-prisoners tour already underway, 2007 is the year TURISAS take the world by storm.

Grab the nearest sword and wench and join them on their quest - to Holmgard, and beyond!

OBITUARY sign to Candlelight Records

Candlelight Records today proudly confirms September 11th as the US and September 10th as the Euro release date for the forthcoming album from death metal legends Obituary. Recording of the currently untitled album is already underway with the album's completion expected for June 1.

Tampa-based Obituary featuring vocalist John Tardy, guitarist Trevor Peres, bassist Frank Watkins and drummer Donald Tardy are one of the genre's most respected and successful bands. Formed in 1985, the quartet have released six critically-acclaimed albums that have to date sold nearly one million copies in the United States.

Regarding the new cooperation Frank Watkins says, "we are very excited to be part of Candlelight Records. This will mark a new chapter in Death Metal history." John Tardy says, ""we are really looking forward to having a record company that wants to work with us. We feel rejuvenated and this new album is gonna be sick!" Donald Tardy adds, ""we couldn't be more pumped about teaming up with Candlelight. It is an unbelievable feeling to know that a record company cares about our music as much as we do."

OCTAVIA SPERATI have posted this post-UK tour report on their official website:
"Hi everyone!

We just got back from the UK and Ireland and wanted to say a big thanks to those of you supporting us on the tour! There turned out to be some problems that made OCTAVIA go on stage earlier than agreed and also we didn't get to play as long set as promised. This was due to circumstances beyond our control and we will not let this happen again. We are truly sorry for this and want to apologize to all of you that turned up and didn't get to see us. We will definitely come back and make it up to you!

We also want to thank the excellent guys in Finntroll and Amon Amarth, and their amazing crew Holger and Steve for making us have such a fantastic time on tour. Those guys are the best and we were all sad to say good bye so early! Skål"

An ecard featuring samples and a video from OCTAVIA SPERATI's new album 'Grace Submerged' has been posted at this location

CRIONICS' "Neuthrone” recording session completed!

Since November 2006 till January 2007 the band was recording this stuff in Zed Studio, so 9 premiere songs and one bonus track - "Black Wariors" known from Demo '98 in its new version are done. The album was mixed and mastered in February, also by Tomasz „ZED” Zalewski.

At the same time Crionics in cooperation with "Besz Film” group made videoclip for "Humanmeat Cargo”, which will promote „"Neuthrone” all over the world. All photos and artwork were made by Michal "Czecza” Czekaj.

New stuff is quite different from previous two albums, it's still black/death metal but more in futuristic way, basing on interesting lyrical concept.
"Neuthrone" will feature the following track listing:

2.New Pantheon
3.Arrival 2033
6.Hell Earth
7.Humanmeat Cargo
8.Outer Empire
9.Frozen Hope
10.When The Sun Goes Out...
11.Black Warriors (bonus track)

Worldwide release-date for „Neuthrone” will be 28th of May on Candlelight Records.

In February DAYLIGHT DIES (together with friend Alejandro Nogales) spent a couple weekends making, then bottling, then consuming a third batch of DAYLIGHT DIES beer. Other activities included drinking imported absinthe and nearly burning down the backyard of guitarist Barre Gambling. The band documented most of it and threw it together in this four minute video.

HIMSA - recording new album

Seattle-based metal quintet HIMSA entered the studio today to begin recording their Century Media Records debut. The group will track the drums, bass and guitars with Steve Carter (who produced HIMSA's “Courting Tragedy and Disaster” album); Devin Townsend (Lamb of God, Darkest Hour) will be tracking vocals and Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Heaven Shall Burn) will be handling mixing duties. The album is currently set for a late-summer release.

Derek Harn (bass) states: “The new album draws from the strengths of our last two records, “Courting Tragedy and Disaster” and “Hail Horror”, but this is an entirely new chapter for HIMSA and our fans. Sammi Curr (guitars) wrote a lot of the music for “Courting”, and Kirby Johnson (guitars) wrote most of the tracks on “Hail Horror” (when Sammi wasn't in the band), so the two of them have joined forces to craft a whole new level of rage. We're looking at about 10 or 11 songs right now, and are extremely proud of them.

We are stoked to be collaborating with the aural assault team of Steve Carter, Devin Townsend and Tue Madsen. These are guys we trust and respect. We worked with Steve on “Courting”, we did “Hail Horror” with Tue. Devin is the new factor in all of this. He's doing the vocal tracking, and we're looking forward to his searing, manic, vocal skills giving new dimension to Pettibone's throaty mayhem.

This album will be an evolution of everything people have grown to expect and respect from our enduring and grumpy metal band, with a few new twists. We're older, but we're wiser and faster than ever. We can't wait to see our fans around the globe this fall. Till then, stay true and keep the horns raised high.”

Vinyl Delays

Firstly, we would like to apologise to everyone who has experienced delays with vinyl orders in the past couple of months. Frankly we've had a nightmare with certain pressing plants, which we won't be using again.

Chrome Hoof EP's & Firebird Hot Wings vinyl's are now finally in stock. However, we had to return all Possessed 'Exploration' LP's back to the plant as they were all faulty.

Rather than send out faulty product, we consider it vital that it is repressed to perfection; this is what has taken the time.
Those of you who have ordered Possessed albums will unfortunately have to wait a little while longer. If the rest of your order hasn't arrived, it will be shipped in the next few days, with Possessed albums to follow either separately or together (depending on whether they arrive on time).

Apologies once more for any inconvenience caused, from now on we will be using a respected pressing plant in Germany, to avoid these continual problems happening in the future.

CELLADOR name new bass player

After filling in for the band's shows for the last 2 months, CELLADOR is happy to announce the addition of 21 year old Mika Horiuchi as the new bass player in the band.

After holding auditions for 3 months we realised Mika was the best person for the band. He showed the most devotion and commitment, having learned all our songs in less than a week, and dropped all his personal commitments at the time to come on tour with us during the month of February.

The dude is an insane bass shredder, but also knows how to carry a song well rather than wa*king all over the place. It's the perfect combination we were looking for, and the perfect fit for us in CELLADOR. We look forward to showing everyone just how good he is.

Originally from Seattle, Mika formerly played in Washington-based melodic death metal band NETHERELM.

EVERGREEN TERRACE - Recipe for hate

It is finally finished. "Wolfbiker" will be released to this awful world by Metal Blade Records on July 27th (G/A/S) / July 30th (Europe), mark your calendars.

A new clip for the song “Ghosts Of The Undead” off the brand new SFU effort “Commandment” has just been unleashed! The newest visual slaughter from Chris Barnes and the boys can be viewed via our homepage or our YouTube channel:

THE ARCANE ORDER news update

Right on people, it's been a while. We have a couple of news for you guys.

First of all we are happy to announce that Kasper Kirkegaard has joined our band on a permanent basis. Some of you might now Kasper from his work in Submission.

Kasper has been helping us out ever since the first live jobs, and it seemed only natural to ask him to become a fulltime member of our band. We are very happy to have Kasper on board - He's a hell of a dude and great guitar player! We are very much looking forward to kicking some more ass with him on board!

In other news our drummer Morten Løwe will be joining Greek/Swedish NIGHTRAGE as drummer on their upcoming tour with MNEMIC in May/June. This is a really great gig for Morten and luckily will in no way affect his work in THE ARCANE ORDER. When Morten returns from the tour we will start working and rehearsing on the new songs for our upcoming album to be recorded in September 2007 again with Jacob Hansen.

THE OCEAN looking for bass player, new album in the works

Looking for bass player

Here's what we expect:
-DEDICATION not just being on stage but being in a band, with all that entails!
-TIME for extensive touring and for frequent rehearsals in BERLIN!
-We're looking for someone who LEARNS FAST and ON HIS OWN!
-We're looking for a LIVE WIRE who KICKS ASS with us!
-Last, we're looking for someone with as broad a musical background as our own, someone willing to transcend the border between metal, hardcore, rock, soundtrack music and jazz with us.

New Album

All the drums and most of the guitars for our new album have been recorded. We just got back from a barn in remote Northern Finland, where Torge, Matt and Robin spent the last 3 weeks in complete isolation, recording in shifts, day and night… we are extremely satisfied with the result thus far, and we can assure you that our new album will get closer than ever before to capturing our real sound. Even without much editing, the drums sound huge!

Still a long way to go though. The next months will be spent recordings more guitars, bass, vocals, cellos, piano and other instruments. We're also working on an artwork concept.

VOMITORY - New website design

"Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize" has just been released in Germany and the surrounding area. To celebrate this we're launching a new design for the website, in the vein of the new album. It's also time to reveal the full artwork for the T.B.S. album, including the booklet, discs and everything! Just click on and a (fairly large) image will open in a new browser window.

We've also added some new interview links, full info (including lyrics) on T.B.S. at and a bunch of additional individual promo shots in the Media section at . Enjoy!

Gallhammer upcoming tour

Gallhammer will be embarking on a European tour in late September/early October, with dates & venues to be announced in the near future. They will join Norwegian band Skitliv (featuring ex-Mayhem vocalist Maniac) for a few shows. Keep checking our live section for updates. You can check the new video for HALLUCINATION HERE.

With Passion release video for Pale Horses Ride

With Passion recently finished work on a new video for the track "Pale Horses Ride" from the latest album "What we see when we shut our eyes".
Check out the video here on the Earache website, or on YouTube and read about the concepts and evolution of the video below:

Michael Nordeen (bass) illustrates:

"We shot the live band shots in a parking garage in downtown Sacramento. The girl with the axe and TV scenes were shot on the Sacramento river about a week later. We did about 20 takes on the live shots, starting at about 7pm and ending at about 1am. We spent about 3 hours setting up and waiting for the sun to set prior to starting.

Scott had multiple camera angles on rollers and hand shots. He also had about 3 photographers throughout the video shoot taking live stills. He was a great director to work with and was very easy going as well as open to our ideas.

He made the video shoot fun. It turned out better than expected, with the effects and movement that he explained to us before shooting. He spent about 2 weeks editing it. He took the time to make a myspace version of the song, which looks great. We were definitely happy with the final product, especially after those long hours. Video shoots are long, and hard. I guess the best way to say it is, its harder work to fake playing your own music for hours than it really is to actually play the songs. All in all, it was a great experience!"

Scott Cramer director of the video explains how the video came about:

"The story goes like this: I get a call somewhere mid February from a producer from Iline entertainment. A company that executive produced a couple music videos for me last year. He tells me that a record label in the UK is looking for me to do a music video and forwards me an email from Ali at Earache. I guess he found me on some film festival website looking for local music video directors. I think he recognised some work I did with The Abominable Iron Sloth and Willhaven music videos.

I made up a concept based on some imagery floating around in my head when I was listening to the song that was given to me. I really wanted to do this slimy organic TV device that is growing out of the ground. It has these gas mask like tentacles that has some kind of toxic smoke and is sending out propaganda. This thing wakes up this girl out of the water. Never establish if she's dead or alive. It's unknown. She finds it in the woods and gets seduced by it and entranced with what the device is transmitting. She ends up rejecting it, sees the evil in it, destroys it with an axe and returns to the river. All edited together with the band.

Making the video was fun. The band is really a bunch of cool guys. They were really into it and trusted me with making something they would approve of. I told them that the last video I did, the band did 46 takes. For real. I shoot a lot of takes. My experience with making band scenes is like trying to drive a car across country when you know its gonna die on the way. I'll keep shooting and eventually the band or something is gonna stop it.

We shot the band scene in a parking garage in downtown Sacramento. We got delayed about an hour when a security guard was not informed from the owners of the property about us shooting and dialled 911. The cops came. I explained the situation. Showed them my permits and insurance and that we were not gonna blow up the building. They left. The sun came down and it was on. We shot till almost 4 a.m. As we were wrapping up. The cops showed up again. This time with a disturbance call. But it was too late for the b*stards. We were done and got away with it.

Shooting the story stuff was really hard. All day I chased the sun. Ashlyn Kei Miyasaki is the living/dead girl in the video. She's a local actress here in Sacramento and I put her through hell. The Sacramento River is really cold right now. She freezed her ass off in that river. And then I had to pour water on her the whole shoot to keep the wet look. I felt so bad for her. The sh*t we do for art huh?

Anyway. Got the video done in about 4 weeks. We shot it in HD and had a lot of post work with rotoscoping the footage into the TV and stuff. I gotta thank my crew for working for food. Without them it would have been a disaster. I'm really glad to have it done. No one died or got pregnant in the process. Good times. I hope to work with Earache again. They got some really cool music.

Recording completed of forthcoming new album - despite the Blood red curse

Norwegian Death Metallers BLOOD RED THRONE have completed work on their forth coming new album due to be released on Earache records on June 25th.
7 Tchort of Blood Red throne states:

"Yet another tough birth is over and the Blood Red Throne crew is proud to announce its newest album is born! People familiar with the band and its past know the term 'The BRT curse' and it struck us on several occasions this time as well. In the past it broke down our transportation in the middle of nowhere, killed our vocalist (whom we managed to resurrect with a little love and caring (read: mouth-to-mouth. We wont reveal who was the (un)lucky care taker), a tree that bitchslapped a couple of our members while surfing the roof of the tour bus (while driving) inside the city of London (some might say that it was a light version of the curse as the bridge missed them!), a drummer who had to be replaced as he disappeared while recording the drums for one of our albums (Spinal Tap anyone?) and the story goes on.

However, the fact remains that we are proud of the new album and we are proud to show the capacity of our two new members caught on tape for the first time. This album (more details soon-to-come) represents the essence of Blood Red Throne. Groove, aggression, catchiness, melody and technique. In a perfect BRT blend! We are looking forward to meet all of you on the road again soon!"
