SPOILER

Thanks to my wife Nabila for discovering this band! If you like stoner rock like Monster Magnet with a touch of Sabbath, then check this Dutch based band out. They have a debut CD out plus UK viewers may have seen their ultra heavy cover of the 'Grease' song 'Electrifying'.

1. What are you currently up to?

Working on new material/songs for 2nd album. Preparing for UK tour. Having a cold beer.

2. Who is/were your influences?

Coby

3. Brief history of the band plus the style of music you play.

Brief history of your work to date the style of music you play. 1. 1999-2001 > Demo's 2. Nov. 2001 > Mud 'n' Glitter (debutalbum) 3. Nov. 2002 > Electrifying Single (with re/recorded versions of "Electrifying", "Mud 'n' Glitter and a new song called "Burst") Style: Rock Grand Luxe

4. What do you think of the current state of radio and the live music scene?

Too dependant of succes, money and strategies. It should be more lose to give anyone a change.

5. How easy/hard has it been to get exposure for the band?

You can reach more people than you think by using humor, making a website which is almost free and keep it up-to-date (yeah right...). When you're not financially capable of printing 500000000 posters and 10000000 ad's in magazines, you have to be smart sometimes. Or at least try to be, it's not easy.

6. What has been the highlight(s) and lowpoint(s) of your career to date?

Highlight(s): The biggest highlight still has to come but touring with Hermano was a blast!

Lowpoint(s): Woodrock 2001, Nieuwegein [NL] (a festival w/ no audience, due to bad advertising)

7. Who have you toured with and would like to tour with in the future?

Hermano / Ozzy

8. How has your debut CD been received so far?

Pretty good! Better than we hoped. It's a while ago since the release but their a still enough people who haven't heard it yet and give us positive response. You can check www.spoiler.nl for the reviews.

9. What are your personal highlights?

The Electrifying Ringtone (Nokia only) Yiiiiiih Haaa...."hello.....who is this?" On Kerrang!TV, No. 11 Most Requested Video's. Airplay @ MTV2 2001 Only a Suggestion Tour Making first record Last night.

10. Your cover of 'One That I Want' from 'Grease' has been gaining serious airplay on the Kerrang! channel in the UK. How did this cover come about? Any other songs you'd like to give the Spoiler treatment in the future?

It's the only cover we planned on doing. It all started with a joke. We played this riff for a long while and Jas started to sing the melody of YTOTIW on it. We laughed our asses off and played it during our next gig. The crowd went crazy...

11. If you could create a fantasy band - what would be the line-up and why?

Drums: Zakk Wylde Bass: Dave Grohl Guitar: Chris Cornell Vocals: Gene Simmons = Oldskool Newstyle

12. Any other bands/artists you would recommend checking out?

Mastadon, El Caco, Chevelle & Taproot.

13. What CD's do you currently have available and where can they be purchased from?

Mud 'n' Glitter (with/without carton sleeve) Electrifying Single (normal/special edition) Everything should be available at you local record store RIGHT NOW! Or else: www.amazon.com or www.cdexpress.com All released @ SUBURBAN RECORDS

14. Message for your fans?
