LA GUNS Acoustic Gypsy Live (2011)

LA Guns

With two versions of the band touring at the moment, and no one member who has been consistent all the way through, this band were involved with the formation of GíníR and have a minefield of line-up changes.

This album is by the Tracii Guns version of the band, the founding guitarist who has more rights to the name than most. And to lead up to the bandís 30th anniversary, we get this acoustic live album in an intimate setting.

With Jizzy Pearl on vocals, the band are tight and sound good. Itís not totally acoustic, more like three quarter acoustic but itís melodic and not overridden by dirty rockíníroll.

Opening with 'Chrystal Eyes', much of the bandís history is taken in. 'Decide' has a Zeppelin feel, and 'Dream Time' has a nice rockíníroll piano.

Pretty enjoyable, well worth listening to.
