HOLY GHOST REVIVAL Twilight Exit 1965 Records (2008)

Holy Ghost Revival

Holy Ghost Revival mix punk, new wave and rock'n'roll! A good solid blast and an original sound too.

This new album kicks off with "The Gospal According To Judas", the keyboards adding good effect. There's a touch of Siouxie/Banshees but a infinitely less miserable. This is Banshees with adrenaline, fireworks and rock'n'roll. There is an element of Rocky Horror Picture Show in here.

The production is very loud, you get a full face sonic assault here.

"Wolfking Of LA" is a tad slower, slightly operatic with some neat guitar work.

"Embrace The Hate" is a standout and also the new single", some good guitar harmony in the punchy sound.

"Empire Skies" opens with some gothic piano, there's no trends followed here that's for sure! A doomy number.

Original in sound and really worth checking out.
