PALACE TERRACE Flying Through Infinity Lion Music (2007)

Palace Terrace is centred around guitarist George Bellas (Mogg/Way) who is joined by vocalist Jonathan R Marshall and percussionist Sasha Horn. This is a real musicians' album as some songs are in unusual times like one song which is performed in 99/32 time! Being brutally honest and after a fair few listens the vocal harmonies and guitars parts are fine but the vocals are okay – not big and powerful enough to rise above all the complex music. The vocals just don't seem to click with the music behind it. Perhaps this is overly technical as there seems to be a lack of overall melody in the songs.

Those who enjoyed George Bellas' previous work in Ring Of Fire and Mogg/Way will find this not quite what they expect but to be fair this will appeal to people who enjoy highly technical progressive music.
