DAVID SURKAMP Dancing On The Edge Of A Teacup Rockville (2007)

David Surkamp

The vocalist with Pavlov's Dog releases a solo album featuring his wife on Sara on vocals/keys/percussion.

David Surkamp has a very distinctive voice at times not unlike Roger Chapman (check out the 60's influenced 'Hard Again').

Some good songs on here including 'Looking For My Shadow' which tips a hat to 'Alice In Wonderland' and is an enjoyable piece of psychedelic pop rock.

He duets with his wife Sara on 'Wrong' which includes a blissful guitar solo. There is even a bit of folk rock in the shape of 'One Of These Days'.

An eclectic mix of music which will appeal to fans of his pervious solo output and Pavlov's Dog plus anyone who enjoys a solo album with plenty of musical variety and a strong late 60's musical vibe running through the music.
