TWELFTH NIGHT Live From London
Iguana Project IPDVD011 (2005)
Slightly more retro than neo but still a lot of fun...

More 80s prog recorded live in London in 1984, this time recorded at the Marquee club. In the Pallas / IQ vein, this bunch also nodded a tad more towards Marillion / Genesis. Slightly more retro than neo but still a lot of fun.

The music is nicely layered, with keyboards and guitar mixing well, and the band certainly enthusiastic on stage. That said, Twelfth Night weren’t quite in the Pallas or IQ league. Some of the tracks here are in the 10 minute region and don’t quite grab enough, therefore going on a little. Even so, pretty enjoyable.

And like this series, 1 page of good notes/history but playing time 1 hr (close to the original broadcast time) and no other extras.

Other bands in this series include Di’Anno, Girlschool, Twelfth Night, IQ, Pallas, Wrathchild and Magnum, amongst others.

**½
