TV SMITH Misinformation Overload
Boss Tuneage BTRC003 (2006)

This new solo album from Smith sees him mix high energy rock'n'roll with his punk/new wave roots - he was originally the singer for The Adverts in the late 70s.

The music is sinple, as New Wave always was, but well written and very high energy, Smith's guitars riffing hard throughout.

This set is probably more metal than earlier Smith outings, but the punk background (not the sort of cack Green Day masquerade under either) make it catchy, honest and a lot of fun.

***½
