THEATRE OF TRAGEDY Storm AFM 117-2 (2006)

Theatre of Tragedy

Dark gothic metal, with contrasting deep moody male vocals with bright female vocals, and bursts of alternative and industrial metal in the guitar.

There’s some good work here, heavy too, and the piano (think a darker version of mid 80s Damned) fits in well too.

Modern gothic metal with good production, some nice vocal harmonies, but sadly the guitar is a little sludgy in places, making it sound more tuneless than it actually is.

The heavier and more gothic material nods at NFD, only the female vocals here give an extra dimension here.
