RUEFREX Capital Letters - The Best Of
Cherry Red CDMRED290

Northern Ireland punk band Ruefrex (originally Roof Wrecks) were formed in 1977, and their popularity is easy to justify.

One By One is a decent punk tune, and Don’t Panic has more of a chant feel.

A good start, but tracks like Capital Letters sound like amateur home demos, which typify the punk sound or the era.

Some of this is thoroughly enjoyable, if you’re in the right mood, especially the more rhythmic track, but the rest is quite hard to get into.
