RELOADED ‘Demos ’(2003)

The slow, lighter-in-the-air ‘I Believe’ follows and it wouldn’t look out of place on a Bon Jovi record. ‘Ain’t No Angel’ is standard rock fare but the surprise is in the last track, ’68 & I Owe You One’. A foot tappin’ country rock number (think Dan Baird meets Green On Red) and this could be the band’s secret weapon musically.

The drum sound is slightly tinny in parts but, hey, this is a demo! With a bigger budget and production these songs could make a real impact in the current musical climate. Definitely a band to keep an eye on in the coming year!

***** Out of this world | **** Pretty damn fine |
*** OK, approach with caution unless you are a fan |
** Instant bargain bin fodder | * Ugly. Just ugly
