RED LIGHT RIPPERS Nobody Likes A Rat
Fading Ways Music (2006)

Another new hard rock album that’s damn good and well worth searching out.

Hard, with a slight punk, indie and sleaze influence, there’s elements of AC/DC, Van Halen and Guns’n’Roses in here.

'Trailer Trash Trixie' will get you nodding, and on 'Addicted' the guitar is really attention grabbing.

The whole album is exuberant with underground energy; yes it’s rough round the edges, but that’s rock’n’roll. 'Pills' is reminiscent of Hanoi Rocks, with a nod towards the Macc Lads. And I mean that in a complementary way,

Loud, with little finesse, if it doesn’t give you a headache you’ll love it.

***½

***** Out of this world | **** Pretty damn fine |
*** OK, approach with caution unless you are a fan |
** Instant bargain bin fodder | * Ugly. Just ugly
