PICTORIAL WAND A Sleeper's Awakening
Unicorn Digital UNCR5027 (2006)

This Norwegian progressive concept album stretches over 2CDs and is the brainchild of Mattis Sorum, a multi instrumentalist with a host of vocalists and other musicians appearing. Telling a story, there's narration and a lot of folk and singer/songwriter touches. The music does eventually pick up, and The Shadow is pretty fluid, a strong number with some decent guitar.

Some excellent moments, heavy in places, but it's too much, not consistent enough to be spread over two albums.

Good, but unless you're a prog enthusiast, it's just too much hard work.
