MITCH PERRY 'TBA' Advance CDR (Z Records) (2005)

This new album, with no title or press release, I know very little about. But it’s a pretty heavy hard rock with glam leanings.

Opener 'Straight To My Heart' features some strong Excalibur with some 80’s big hair style choruses, while 'No Time For Cryin’' is more straight ahead rock with a slight commercial edge.

'Never Mind The Change' continues in a similar vein - imagine if Bon Jovi actually rocked and you’d get an idea.

There’s there usual ballad with an acoustic edge, but still contains a good vocal range and plenty of crunching guitar. 'Witchdoctor' features a nice funky rhythm, and the album contains an occasional nod at Aerosmith and Boston.

Pretty enjoyable but not brilliant.

**½
