MIKSHA Collect Your Hazardous Waste Anticulture (2006)

Happy Face

Miksha are an interesting band, after less than a minute I am already hooked by their somewhat unique combination of metal, hardcore, industrial and more bizzarely, techno!

A strange mix that seems to work, and I like it.

Some of the techno bits, combined with the likes of classic era Fear Factory, remind me a lot of those strange bunch from Finland, ...And Oceans.

It is actually good to hear a band try something different and actually pull this off. There seems to be a lot going on here, with every song, twisting and turning, defying description and making Miksha, awfully hard to categorise.

There certainly is something for everyone here; even styles I wouldn't normally like, seem to fit in perfectly.

The way Miksha are able to do so much with each song and leave the listener gobsmacked by the sheer scope of what's on offer here is simply jaw dropping.

How Miksha came up with something so twisted, so different and so good, is completely a miss to me.

On some songs, they sound like a band playing 4 different songs, yet they still make each of these songs incredibly interesting and bone crunching.

I've mentioned the many different genres that Miksha manage to penetrate, yet the word 'progressive' manages to pop up again again.

Progressive industrial hardcore techno death metal? Yep I think I've found them.
