MIKE TRAMP ‘More To Life Than This’
Ulftone Records LC01033 (2004)

Since the days of White Lion, Mike Tramp has consistently put out quality solo albums. Not so much stadium sounding any more, but great stories sung with real feeling. Opening track 'More To Life Than This' is a good example this, as are most of the tracks on this CD. Overall the album has a good, moving songs and a great ballad in 'Goodbye Song'.

The highlights on this CD are the laid back 'Nothing At All', the crunching 'I Won’t Let Go' (featuring Steve Lukather on guitar) and the piano led 'The Good, The Sad And The Ugly', which is a moving and emotive ballad. The album has been very well produced by Tramp himself.

This CD might not appeal to today’s generation of MTV fans, however, I think that promoted properly this album could really do well.
