MASQUE Look Out (2005)
Russell Roberts (guitar/drums/percussion) and Chrissy Quayle (vocals/flute/sax/piccolo) have joined together to produce a very enjoyable and eclectic mix of music.
There are also a sprinkling of guest musicians including former Motorhead guitarist 'Fast' Eddie Clarke! 'Say It' is a mellow jazz based number, whilst 'I've Had Enough Of The Funny Stuff' features Clarke on guitar.
There is traditional Turkish number 'Uskudara Giderken' - very reminiscent of Trans Global Underground and Mouth Music. 'April' is a lovely instrumental piece, whilst 'Save A Place' allows the vocals of Chrissy Quayle to shine.
A very enjoyable album that spans jazz, folk, world music and more, making for one of the widest ranging albums I have heard for a long time.
