KILLING JOKE ‘The Unperverted Pantomine?’ Alchemy Pilot 158 (2003) Lovingly compiled collections of early radio recordings and of interest most to Killing Joke fans live tracks from their first ever UK tour back in 1980. The album also has official backing as guitarist Geordie helped out in the selection and dating the tracks. Killing Joke’s sound mixed punk attitude with riffing guitars, with jaunty numbers like ‘Follow The Leader’ and ‘Are You Receiving?’. The live tracks have a raw edge as you’d expect.

Great release for the fans of the band and well packaged and presented. Best news of all is that there is more to come!

***** Out of this world | **** Pretty damn fine |
*** OK, approach with caution unless you are a fan |
** Instant bargain bin fodder | * Ugly. Just ugly
