J.R. BLACKMORE Still Holding On
Musikerei 784-731 (2006)

Son of Ritchie has a lot to live up to, and to be honest, he does, with flying stars.

With Blackmore Snr now strumming a lute, the world needs a Blackmore playing hard rock and Jurgen does it well. Very well.

Largely his own style the RB influence is still obvious; think JLT or Dougie White fronted Rainbow, only heavier, more metallic.

The Blackmore style shines through on opener 'Wild And Free', and 'Still Holding On' is more commercial, which will please JLT fans.

Neo classical shred with Blackmore finesse and a modern AOR / Metal mix. Great stuff.
