JEFFERSON AIRPLANE Fly Jefferson Airplane (Eagle EREDV342) (2004)
Vintage Airplane...that's far out

Formed in 1965, JA were at the forefront of the San Francisco psychedelic scene (before they changed to Starship and went crap). West Coast was where it was at back then.

Some outstanding guitar and bass work, and Grace Slick’s vocals really helped define the band, and vintage clips from 1965 to 1973 on this set show how.

Add plenty of band interviews from all the original members, a photo gallery and other features, it’s probably a dream for fans.

Two tracks from the Monterey Pop Festival and 'Embryonic Journey' from the Hall Of Fame Induction reformation give you an idea.

The music itself has its ups and downs (I’m not big on this kind of stuff really), and the visuals are almost too psychedelic. But the options and booklet make it a very good overall package.

Far Out Man!
