VARIOUS ‘Give Us Moore - A Tribute To Gary Moore’ Lion Music LMC118(2004)

This tribute to the Irish great features largely unknown artists but is still well done and thoroughly enjoyable. It's good to see Gazza appreciated in this way too his rock work has long become underrated.

The set kick's off with Dogpound's 'Led Clones' an unusual choice but a great track that, like many of the tracks here, remain faithful to the original.

'She's Got You' and 'Over The Hills' follow, while Star Queen's 'Empty Room' and Daniel Flores' take on the classic 'Wile Frontiers'also impress. 'Don't Take Me For A Loser'is a personal fave, and Regi Hendrix has a good stab at 'Reach For The Sky'.

15 great GM rockers, but you have to wonder at the target audience. Still, if these lesser know artists need some airplay I can think of much worse to pay tribute to.
