FREAKHOUSE Beautiful Misery
Reality (2006)

Freakhouse

Another album from a couple of years ago. This one with a more alternative feel to the power metal. Some interesting bursts add to the riffs in opener 'Disconnected'. The title track adds a little funk metal, and the Sabbath like keyboards work well too.

A touch of grunge, a nod at thrash, makes for better listening than it sounds.

The guitar intro to 'Love Hates Me' is reminiscent of Iron Maiden circa 1984 but the rhythm and vocals is very 90s alternative metal.

In places this album works very well, in others it's a little disjointed. Pretty good though.
