BUSTER BROWN Something To Say
Aztec AVSCD003(62:34)(2006)

An album of legend among Aussie rock fans and collectors, and first time on CD since it’s release over years ago. The band featured one not so shaven headed Angry Anderson, the diminutive singer with a big voice and even bigger attitude who would later front Rose Tattoo, and drummer Phil Rudd would later join AC/DC.

Not as spectacular as either it’s still solid rock’n’roll with slide guitar aplenty, and the piano adding a smooth edge.

The track Buster Brown stands out for showing some of the formula the ‘Tatts would later use. Roll Over Beethoven gets a reworking too.

Several live tracks are added as a bonus, as is the rare Rose Tattoo track Release Legalise.

Well presented, embryonic rock’n’roll.

*** OK, approach with caution unless you are a fan |
** Instant bargain bin fodder | * Ugly. Just ugly
