Based in Paris, Aesthesia have perfectly recreated that sleazy sound of the mid to late ‘80’s and this album is literally dripping with attitude, packed with great tracks and is about to spend the next few months in my car stereo.
There are no filler tracks on “Shattered Idols” and highlights include the slower “Daydream”, “Rattlesnake Preacher”, “Hoodoo Queen”, “Under 16” (featuring ex-Hardcore Superstar guitarist Thomas Silver) and “Lyna Red”- the latter track having the feel of the link between Hanoi Rocks and “Appetite For Destrucrion”.
Don’t be put off by the comparisons to Guns n Roses, “Shattered Idols” is a great album and I look forward to seeing the band live.
