Lillian Axe are back with a new album and another change in the vocalist department - step forward Brian C Jones who replaces Ronnie Munroe (the former Metal Church vocalist). They are also on a new label and in AFM Records they are sure to get more coverage than their last album the disappointing 'Deep Red Shadows'. The band have not been helped by a succession of vocalists and having to release their last couople of albums independently.

The sole original member, Steve Blaze, has said this album has a lot in common with the band's 'Psychoschizophrenia' album, one of their better albums and I'd agree. Songs like the reflective 'Bow Your Head' and the excellent 'Death Comes Tomorrow' both could have sat comfortably on that album. Hardly surprising as Brian Jones has a similar style and range as that of former vocalist from the band's most successful years Ron Taylor.

They still have a few fillers like 'Lava On My Tongue' and 'Gather Up The Snow' which start of with good intentions but seem to ramble off and loose their direction musically. So a definate big step in the right direction for the band and with their new label's backing and hopefully some tour dates we could see Lillian Axe put firmly back on the musical map.
