EQUILIBRIUM - New album and tour
German Symphonic Pagan Metal band EQUILIBRIUM has finished the work for their
new effort Sagas, their long-awaited second album. The album will be released on

EQUILIBRIUM will embark on a tour in late October, early November, promoting

GOTTHARD - Show team spirit with Mousse T. and the Swiss national soccer team
Audience and jury have decided: GOTTHARD 's song Lift U Up - which is about
motivating each other in a team and reaching aims togehter - is the official
song of Switzerland 's National Soccer Team for the upcoming European
Championship. In a survey, run by Switzerland 's biggest newspaper "Blick",
readers and national team chose the song as the winning title.
Next to that, no other than German star producer Mousse T. has been responsible
for the remix. In 1998, Mousse T. could celebrate a big success with the hit
single Horny, followed by numerous other hits Mousse T. has done the remixes
for, such as Sex Bomb by Tom Jones, Let 's Go To Bed by No Angels or Is It Cos'
I `m Cool by Emma Lanford. Concerning Mousse T. 's latest remix for Lift U Up,
the players of the Swiss National Soccer Team prove that they are not only
self-confident when it comes to kicking, but also when it comes to singing: the
guys have personally sang the chorus of the track! Surely quite an unusual job
for David Degen from FC Basel, Hakan Yakin and Marco Streller, who have both
already played for VfB Stuttgart, Benjamin Huggel (formerly: Eintracht
Frankfurt!), the keeper and audience 's star Pascal Zuberbühler (formerly: Bayer
Leverkusen) and all the other national players.
The recordings with band and national team took place in the famous Powerplay
Studios in Zurich, Switzerland. EUROPE have recorded their world hit "The Final
Countdown" there already.
The joint-venture surely is an honour for both sides: the internationally
successful group GOTTHARD is proud to support their national team for the
European Championship with a song and most of the players of the national team
have been huge GOTTHARD fans for many years. So one thing is sure already: if
the Swiss kickers can act as convincing as in the studio during the next couple
of weeks, than the championship will be a great one for them!
The official "Lift U Up" maxi-cd will be released as a bonus of a
"Reloaded"-release of GOTTHARD 's album Lipservice on June, 20th. As a download
single, the songs will be released on June 6th already.

Thrash Metal's new blood MELTDOWN have just sent an update from Andy Classen's
Stage One Studio where they are in the middle of the recording of their debut
album Executioner.
Guitarist & vocalist Dan Wetmore: Hey everyone, we're here in Stage One Studio
recording our debut album, coming out on Nuclear Blast entitled "Executioner."
Right now Adam is finishing up drum tracks and we're hoping to start recording
rhythm as soon as possible.
It's great to be working with someone like Andy Classen who has experience in
recording metal. So far everything sounds really brutal. When we're not pumping
out tracks, we're fu*king around and gorging ourselves on beer and Nutella.
Being in Germany kicks ass!

AMON AMARTH have entered the studio! Confirm gigs at Download and Metal Hammer's
Golden Gods Awards
Here's an update from AMON AMARTH. 'On May 1st, (Labour day here in Sweden) we
entered Fascination Street Studio to start recording our seventh full-length
album. We have 10 killer songs, some classic Amon Amarth tunes, some really epic
moments and some of the most brutal stuff we've ever written! We are confident
that this will be our best and most diverse album to date! Jens Bogren will be
producing the album, he produced 'With Oden On Our Side'. We're looking forward
to yet another successful collaboration.
We'll barricade ourselves for the next month and a half. The album will be
recorded in the traditional way, starting with drums, followed by guitars, bass,
and vocals. There are plans for some cool guest appearance but nothing we can
reveal just yet. We will try our best to keep you updated with blogs, photos and
a studio diary. Provided that we can tear ourselves away from the PS3, Wii and
of course... a healthy serving of Swedish vodka.
In other news, we've added two UK shows this summer. We're pleased to announce
that we'll be appearing for the first time at this year's Download festival. We
are scheduled to play second stage on Saturday, June 14th. Since we're already
on British soil, we figure that we might as well do some further pillaging. We
will be making an appearance at Metal Hammer's Golden Gods Award show on June
16.'

CANNIBAL CORPSE to release 3 disc DVD career retrospective
Legendary death metal band CANNIBAL CORPSE has been busy working on the
follow-up to 2006's victorious release 'KILL', which saw the band hit the
Billboard Top 200 chart at #170 with 6049 units scanned, #6 on Billboard's
Heatseaker chart, #16 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart, #21 on

SEASON GETS CYNICAL!
Season of Mist is really proud to announce that a new cult band just joined the
roster. Let's welcome legendary American progressive jazzy death metal band
CYNIC! Most of the label's team have been a fan of the band's milestone and so
far only album, "Focus", so needless to say we at Season of Mist are all
extremely excited about this new collaboration. Here's frontman Paul Masvidal's
comment about the signing:
"We're pleased to be back in business with Season of Mist as our record company.
They have tremendous enthusiasm and passion for our work. Our bottom line was a
company that understood what CYNIC does and believes in it 100%. We found that
with SOM. We're deep in the pre-production album process now and will be headed

The release of CYNIC's sophomore album, which will be out on Season of Mist
fifteen years after "Focus", is set to next autumn. In the meantime, you can

Shaped around founding members Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert, the new line-up
sees the return of bass god Sean Malone and the addition of Dutch guitarist

to enter the studio this summer with Grammy Award winning Warren Riker (DOWN,
SANTANA, etc.) to begin work on their long-awaited follow-up to "Focus". The
album will contain eight songs, and the band are working once again with

Two months into EARTH TOUR we're still alive and having the best time of our
lives pussies. Yeah we toured in fu*king China and Korea and Serbia and Belarus
and Romania, drove through Moldova, swam in the Black Sea, Red Sea, Baltic Sea,
Mediterranean Sea, and almost got killed in Transnistria (look it up).
Also, we're working through footage while on the road and we posted two videos
on YouTube so far, Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand is better. Australia
we were still kind of feeling out our editing style... you know how it is.

Unfortunately Jon, our rental drummer from the Number 12 Looks Like You, needs
to go back to perform duties for his real band, so as soon as we get back from
the Earth we'll be starting to audition new drummers.
Obviously you have to be a pretty special character to join this band. We'd
prefer someone familiar with the HORSE THE BAND lore, but also normal. You have
to have touring experience in really horrible conditions (picking up skin
diseases from sleeping on floors, being rejected by ugly chicks, not sleeping
for 60 hours or more), not think you are cool, not be way into sitting on your
laptop in the "green room", and be a really good drummer. We want someone who
can play all sorts of styles really well and prefer someone who keeps it simple
sounding while musically compelling and interesting and energetic.
We're heading to South America and Africa in the fall and will do a full
US/Canada tour in the summer. You'll make more money than working your job at
home. You have to know you wanna tour a lot and don't mind being away from the
USA for long periods of time.

A NATURAL DEATH is out now in Europe on Ferret Music
ANGEL BLAKE "THE DESCENDED" GETS ITS RELEASE DATES
Swedish metallers ANGEL BLAKE will unleash their new, expressive opus on the
world via Dynamic Arts Records on May 26th (world), May 30th (G/A/S).
Scandinavia already had the release date on 30th of April. Titled "The
Descended", the long play is band's second, following debut "Angel Blake"
released back in 2006 by Metal Blade Records.
"The Descended" was recorded over an eight week period at the end of 2007 and
beginning of 2008 in Marko Tervonen's owned Studio-MT at Trollhättan, Sweden.
Prior to the album release, ANGEL BLAKE's single and music video from song '&Defenseless'
hit the streets gaining lots of positive reactions towards band's fans and
medias (e.g. song placement on Finnish major radio station Radio Rock). "The
Descended" also has started to receive praised feedback, for example Swedish
Sweden Rock Magazine soundchecked the disc on position 3.

Finnish black / thrash pioneers URN releases their third "Soul Destroyers" album
on 21st of May (Finland), 26th of May (world) and 30th of May (G/A/S). Expect
the most furious material that have been born and raised in Finland! Old school
thrash delivered straight from the pits of hell! The powerful, harsh sounds were
captured nowhere else but in Fantom studios (Behexen, Korpiklaani, ...,)
Free downloadable taster song "Lifeless Days" from 'Soul Destroyers' have been

Since URN's formation (done in 1994) band has shocked underground all over the
world. Debut LP "666 Megatons" was released in 2001. Record got continuation in
shape of another full-length "Dawn Of The Devastation" on year 2006. The unholy
trio have toured widely in Europe with bands like Carpathian Forest, Sabbat,
Nifelheim and Deströyer 666.
