Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the signing of LAY DOWN ROTTEN!
LAY DOWN ROTTEN have created quite a buzz in Germany over the last few years,
being described as the most talented and powerful newcomer in death metal in a
very long time.
The band was formed in 1999, but it was not until 2003 they released their debut
album "Paralyzed By Fear". Since then the band has played loads of shows,
further defining their sound and becoming a killing outfit - one of the most
deadly and brutal death metal bands ever to come out of Germany.
Influenced by the brutality of American death and thrash metal acts and the
melody lines of Swedish death metal masters, the band released two more albums
on Remission Records, "Cold Constructed" and "Breeding Insanity".
The band comments on the Metal Blade deal as follows: "LAY DOWN ROTTEN are
nothing but happy about the signing to one of the most respected and most active
labels in the World. We are looking forward to a successful and creative
collaboration and hope that this new deal helps to spread the word across the
borders of Germany. The band has never been more motivated and is about to
deliver their best album to date. Be prepared."
LAY DOWN ROTTEN are in the middle of the song writing process for their upcoming
album. The working title is "Reconquering The Pit", and studio time is booked
for next summer. The album is scheduled to be released in November 2007. "We
have stayed true to our Death Metal roots and added a bit more brutality", adds
the band.

POWERWOLF about to release "Lupus Dei"
Multinational Metalheads POWERWOLF have finished their second album "Lupus Dei".
Mixed in Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden the album smashes ears with an
incredibly powerful and heavy sound.
'The songwriting was a truly emotional
process. I have never been that dedicated to any piece of music in all my life
so far", Attila Dorn reflects. In the end the band had written ten brand new
tunes carrying on where 'Return in bloodred" left off, going far beyond at the
same time! Songs as 'We Take It From The Living" or 'Prayer In The Dark" feature
all trademarks of typical POWERWOLF songs adding both more melodic density as
well as pounding heaviness and more epic moments than ever before.
Paying tribute to the spiritual feeling
of the album, POWERWOLF recorded parts of it in a chapel built in the 12th
century. 'It was haunting. Recording in a church can not be compared to any
studio situation. You can breathe history in such a place and it was definitely
the most inspirational surrounding we could have chosen for the creation of this
album", Matthew Greywolf says. 'On the title track as well as on 'In Blood We
Trust" we even worked with a 30-piece classical choir, which was amazing"

bible and the dogmas of metal, 'Lupus Dei" features everything POWERWOLF is

MONSTROSITY - Press release for "Spiritual Apocalypse"
Tampa, Florida based MONSTROSITY have just completed the recording and mixing of
their 5th studio release "Spiritual Apocalypse". Recorded at Morrisound Studios
the disc features vocals from the bands newest addition Mike Hrubovcak (VILE,
DIVINE RAPTURE). Joining Hrubovcak are long time MONSTROSITY mainstays Lee
Harrison (drums), Mike Poggione (Bass), and Mark English (guitars). The release
also features guest appearances from luminaries such as Kelly Shaefer (ATHEIST),
Matt LaPorte (JON OLIVA'S PAIN, CIRCLE II CIRCLE), John Zahner (SAVATAGE,
CRIMSON GLORY), Jason Suecof (CAPHARNAUM), and James Malone (ARSIS).
Long considered one of the leading lights of the Florida Death Metal scene, the
band have just returned from a triumphant weekend in Mexico playing 3 shows
alongside MARDUK, SETHERIAL, and CATTLE DECAPITATION. The band is planning tours
for the summer/fall season with an appearance at this year's Fu*k The Commerce

AGHORA NEW ALBUM TO BE RELEASED BY SEASON OF MIST
Seven years after having released AGHORA's first self-titled album in a few
European countries, Season of Mist is pleased to announce we will be releasing
worldwide the US prog' metal act's new album, entitled "Formless", on next May
21st.
Watch out for that new monster of progressive metal, featuring guitarist
and composer Santiago Dobles with a new band line-up including young female
vocalist Diana Serra and guest appearance by Sean Reinert (DEATH, CYNIC, GORDIAN
KNOT) on drums.

SALEM AT HELLFEST
Salem has confirmed their appearance at the hellfest festival to promote the
release of their new album "Necessary Evil" (release date to be announced
shortly). Hellfest is the biggest metal festival in France, and is set to take
place June 22-24 in Clisson, France.

vinyl edition of their 2006 Century Media Records debut "The Black Flame", which
will come out on Swedish label Blackcave Records. The vinyl will be strictly
limited to 500 copies and will be signed and numbered by the band.

Sacramento is home to lush farmland, thick fog, and metal's brightest hope -
WITH PASSION! Tightening up their tour belts, WITH PASSION are set to hit the
road with fellow tech-metallers ISCARIOT and ARCHITECT, conducting a
comprehensive national tour.
With plans to follow up in May with full support of VITAL REMAINS and LIGHT THIS
CITY, WITH PASSION are making calculated strides to bring "What We See When We
Shut Our Eyes" to a broad audience of metal savants. On Sunday, March 4th, WITH
PASSION will be filming live material for a music video of their first single,
"Pale Horses Ride."
Planned as dark and evocative, the shoot will capture the
band's live performance coupled with a horror themed storyline that is sure to
accentuate the eerie sentiment of the song. WITH PASSION will be releasing their
sophomore Earache release, "What We See When We Shut Our Eyes" on May 8th,

HAMMERFALL - Bass player leaves band
Magnus Rosén, bass player of Swedish steel warriors HAMMERFALL, has decided to
leave the band. Please find enclosed the band's official statement regarding the
situation:
"Bass player Magnus Rosén has elected to step down from HAMMERFALL to be able to
focus on his own projects. While it is surprising, it's not a total shock to us
since he has seemed to be unhappy with the situation in the band and on tour for
quite a while. We wish him all the best with his future endeavors and turn our
attention to the future, immediate and distant.
This will change nothing for us as far as booked gigs and other planned
activities are concerned. Rest assured, HAMMERFALL will continue blazing its
trail just like before. The process of selecting the right replacement both
musically and personally is already set in motion, and we will announce it as
soon as a decision is made.

JOB FOR A COWBOY complete work on "Genesis"
Glendale, AZ extreme metal unit JOB FOR A COWBOY has completed work on their
highly anticipated full-length debut, entitled GENESIS. The fast-rising band,
known for their punishing songs, explosive live performances and forward
thinking vision, will release GENESIS on May 18 via Metal Blade Records in G/A/S
(May, 21st in rest of Europe)!
JOB FOR A COWBOY, who toured the world in 2006 in support of their
wildly-popular, self-financed "DOOM" EP, recorded GENESIS at Blue Light Audio
Media in Phoenix, AZ with producer Cory Spotts. The album was mixed by the
Grammy winning Andy Sneap (OPETH, ENTOMBED, MEGADETH). Anticipation for GENESIS
is such that the band has already been named one of "Metal's Most Important
Troops for 2007" by Metal Hammer, one of Total Guitar's "Hottest Guitar Bands of
2007", one of Alternative Press' 2007 "Bands You Need to Know" and one of
Revolver's "Breakthrough Bands that will be Kicking Your Ass this Year".
On the topic of the new album, JOB FOR A COWBOY guitarist Ravi Bhadriraju
comments, "Genesis is a record that we as a band needed to fulfill. We wrote an
album that we wanted to play live well into the distant future. If there is one
word to describe our new record, it is "aggressive". We want this album to have
a certain effect on the listener. I am happy with what we have achieved, and I

THE OLD DEAD TREE are happy to inform you that several songs are already
achieved! Ex-guitarist Nicolas Chevrollier was still involved on some of them,
alongside with the current band members. Of course, new guitarist Gilles Moinet
also contributes to put some new elements into THE OLD DEAD TREE's musical
mix...

DESASTER finish song writing for new studio album
DESASTER have finished the songwriting process for their upcoming, sixth studio
album '666 - Satans Soldiers Syndicate'. This time around the German
blackthrashers will be heading over to Holland to record at Harrow's Studios in
Lossar.
'Bands like the legendary death metal gods ASPHYX and other fine bands
like SOULBURN, OCCULT, MELECHESH and FLESH MADE SIN have recorded their albums
in this studio. Quite a good selection of bands we'd say', comments the band.
The album will be mixed in June and DESASTER are looking into an
August/September release.
'The new songs are a strict continuation of the last few albums, which means NO
COMPROMISE! If you are expecting innovative, ambitious music you are 666 %
wrong. DESASTER stands for traditional riff metal - thrashy, black and full of

Decapitated cancel rest of Euro tour
Polish death metallers DECAPITATED have commented on the recent cancellation of
their European tour. "We regret to inform that the Organic Hallucinosis European
Tour ended as of March 7th due to extreme conditions that compromised the health
and safety of all band and crew members.
We are holding Rose Production
responsible for making it impossible to continue, as they were not willing to
repair the growing mechanical damages of the tour bus, nor were they able to
provide a replacement vehicle. Also, the driver hired by Rose Production refused
to travel further after the state of the bus had become clearly unsafe to drive.
It was at that point that Decapitated and the other supporting bands had no
other choice but to head home. We want to warn all the bands and labels - avoid
Rose Productions! Not only did they fail to honor several important points in
their contract with us, but even worse, they left us to rot in some of the
poorest conditions we have ever seen on tour and would really like to prevent
this from happening again to other people in the future.
On the brighter side - to PHAZM, HATE,
and our crew - we were glad to have you with us despite the unfortunate
circumstances - the moments of laughter and complete mayhem will not be
forgotten. To all the people who made it to the shows on the first half - thank
you! Your support saved us once again. There were some really great turn outs at
many of the venues and look forward to coming back soon. Any links to photos or

EARACHE RECORDS MUSIC TO KICK OFF PREMIER EPISODE OF RADIUM
Former SOCIETY 1 front man Matt Zane, in conjunction with p-o-r-n juggernaut
Pleasure Productions, is launching a unique p-o-r-n series entitled Radium,
which will feature the latest metal videos, band interviews, and loads of hot
and heavy p-o-r-n!
Radium will feature Pleasure Productions starlet and Kentucky native, Tera Wray,
as host of the Radium series. Tera Wray will be interviewing metal's hottest
up-and-coming acts, play a diverse mix of new metal videos, and address all
things metal - culturally, musically and sexually. Creating the perfect marriage
of extremity, the premier episode of Radium will feature an all Earache Records
roster - including videos from MUNICIPAL WASTE, THE BERZERKER, MORTIIS, and WITH
PASSION.
The issue will also include a live
interview with Tera and WITH PASSION at the California Metal Fest, as well as
Tera getting a drum lesson from SOCIETY 1 drummer Berzerk Kirk. Matt Zane will
be producing the series, firmly standing by the budding alt-p-o-r-n industry,
recognising the relevance of this union stating 'people always will want to see
p-o-r-n, and metal has been around since the 70's.' Keep a lookout for the
