WIN A PETE BEST CD!

Pete Best Band

We've two copies to giveaway thanks to EMI and in conjunction with the Power Pop show presented by Jim Henderson on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio (Thursdays, 21:00 and Sundays,14:00)

Pete Best, original drummer for The Beatles, has delivered an incredible, surprising album.

Rock'n'roll history tells us that The Beatles began at the Casbah Coffee House, in the Best family basement, and that Pete was an integral part of the group that did two tours of Germany and participated in early recordings for BBC, Polydor, Decca, and EMI.

After his mysterious firing and loss of the opportunity of a lifetime, he withdrew from the music business for many years, but eventually formed The Pete Best Band and hit the road doing sold-out gigs, playing the songs that The Beatles performed in Hamburg.

Pete and his band have recorded an album that shows the world something new and different, all original songs which tantalizingly hint at the creativity that Pete could have brought to The Beatles had he remained in the group.

The eleven tracks written and recorded by the Pete Best Band for the "Hayman's Green" album are biographical, taking different extracts of Pete Best's life. They have been written with Pete in a fashion that not only depicts his life, but the trials and tribulations of life in general.

Just answer the following question. Closing date 01.02.09.
