The second Giants Of Rock event was held in
Minehead 6-8 February, showcasing the very best classic rock
including performances from MAGNUM, COLOSSEUM, BLACK STAR RIDERS
as well as up and coming artists such as THE AMORETTES and
VIRGIL & THE ACCELERATORS.
Once again we have unrivalled coverage of this weekend, plus the earlier Great

THUNDER Wonder Days
(earMUSIC)
Thunder haven't set out to reinvent the wheel with this album, this is
Thunder back at their rocking best, no more, no less. After six years though it
is great to hear the band producing some excellent music again and I feel that
fans both new and old will be more than happy with the results.(David Wilson) |

SOTO Inside The Vertigo
(earMUSIC)
'Soto' is really a heavier mosaic of all the singer's influences
- it is still possible to detect his melodic and soulful
approach...There is a relentless driving funk to the whole
album...This groove-laden approach is continued throughout,
always grounded in a memorable chorus and showcasing Jeff's
incisive vocals...Glorious (David Randall) |

UFO A
Conspiracy Of Stars
(SPV)
The new album is a more consistent set of tunes than
previous outing 'Seven Deadly' (2012) and 'The
Visitor' and to be honest it sets the bar at
stratospheric levels for heavy rock in 2015.

ECLIPSE Armageddonize (Frontiers)
It would be a shame if this were to be just pigeonholed under AOR as this would
appeal to fans of the substantial European metal scene ...this diverse set of
songs, sharply produced and well played, will make a major contribution to
dragging them towards the big league. (Andy Nathan) |

BLACKBERRY SMOKE Holding
All The Roses
(Earache Records)
Not one bad song on this album, a rare five star album from me! Blackberry Smoke
are on the rise and this album will send them shooting higher in the popularity
stakes, a great listen from start to finish.
