Ten Questions with...

RANDY PIPER

Randy Piper made his name in the early days of WASP and has now formed Animal, with fellow ex-WASP members Chris Holmes & Tony Richards.

1. What are you currently up to?

The tour is in the works and we're in pre-production for the second record.

2. What has been the highlight(s) and lowpint(s) of your career?

Being inducted (in 88) as a Texas tornado.

3. Who have been your main musical influences and why?

Strangely enough, Elvis Presley, Billy Gibbons, Hendrix, hell, all the guitar greats.

4. How did the line-up of Animal get together? Where were your first gigs and how did they go?

Long and ridiculously funny story. stay tuned to animal.101main.com for animal's full history.

5. Could you take us through some of your personal highlights of the '900lb Steam' album please?

Shit man! The whole experience of recording this album was like an acid trip.

6. What was it like playing again with fellow WASP band members Chris Holmes and Tony Richards? Is Tony Richards still in the band or was he for the album only?

Like a party with no end. Tony's currently fulfilling prior commitments.

7. How has the album been recieved so far? Have you managed to get any airplay for it yet?

Mostly in the mail and yeah, tons of airplay. Ritchie you little f**ker, your questions are turning into a journal. just kidding, bro.

8. Any tales from your days on the road with WASP? Which countries/venues did the band enjoy playing the most?

Chris and myself, the Holiday Inn and a rocket too big to light in a hotel. We tried not to play too many country venues.

9. Outside of business, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?

What free time?

10. Message for your fans...

If it ain't been in a pawn shop it can't play the blues.
