"The Very Best Of" includes all Wayne Fontana and The Mindbenders hits
including 1965’s ‘The Game Of Love’, which earned the band a prominent place in
the Sixties pop pantheon.
The song peaked at number two on
the UK charts (it was held off the coveted top spot by The Seekers ‘I’ll Never
Find Another You’), but more impressively it soared to the top of the US charts
as the British invasion took a stranglehold on the US pop charts. The peerless
‘The Game Of Love’, followed other hits such as ‘Just a Little Bit Late’ and
‘She Needs Love’.
In 1965, Wayne left the group to pursue a solo career in which the tracks ‘Come
On Home’ and ‘Pamela’ proved to be the most successful. After retiring from
music in the early 70’s, Wayne returned to the stage in the 90s, making regular
appearances on the revivalist circuit and successful tours like the Solid Silver
60s where he is currently to be seen.

10cc wrote some of the best pop songs ever. They were witty and satiric, they
were poignant and affectionate, they had great beats and they told stories that
resonated.
"I'm Not In Love", "Rubber Bullets", "Dreadlock
Holiday", "I'm Mandy Fly Me", "Art For Art's Sake", "Life Is A Minestrone",
"Donna", "Good Morning Judge", "The Things We Do For Love", "The Dean And I",
"Wall Street Shuffle" - great songs, terrific musicianship and inspired
production.
"The Very Best Of 10cc" features all these hits and
more. Out on April 20th on UMTV, the CD will be TV advertised and promoted by a
major tour of the current 10cc fronted by Graham Gouldman.
We've five copies of each album to give away to five winners.
Just answer the following question:

Mindbenders?
(a) He was a band member in 1968.
